WOW!!! what a burn!!! good one darcy!! im quite impressed! i have this

workout but have never done it!!! maybe i had better blow the dust off of

it and give it a go!! would you say it is an advanced workout? if so, can

it be easily modified down for a lower fitness level?

You know what??? I am such such such a dork!! I had my heart rate

monitor set at 15 lbs heavier than I am!!! UGH....... SO... that

would not be an accurate read nor all my others... Man. I wonder

how much it will affect it?? Probably a lot!!! can't wait to see

how many calories I burn tomorrow w/ it being accurate. I should try

the same workouts so I know!!

ha..ha.. boy, I'm a fool... Guess when I got it I weighed that and

never changed it.

Anyway, I think it was probably an intermediate-advanced. The

choreography was pretty easy, so in that respect, it wasn't advanced

:) it got my heart racing at times though... I'm sure you could

slow it down a bit if you wanted too Carolyn.

oops!! yeah i expect that would throw the cal count off. what a bummer!

i weigh in on a weekly basis and have had to make myself a note so i

remember to adjust my HRM for any gain or loss in poundage. if i didnt

write myself a note and put it where it can remind me, then i would never

remember to adjust it!

cool! i can handle that level as long as the choreo is basic... so that

sounds good then!

which sized med ball did you use? i really want to get more use out of my 4

pounder, but maybe it would be too heavy for this one (?) i also have an

unweighted ball that i could use if i had to. also i like the cover photo

of cindy on this workout... her eyes look really freaky!

Good morning Carolyn :) If I could do the choreography, than anyone

can..LOL... I used my 4lber with this wrkout and thought it was

probably perfect. I did go ahead and order a 6lber to use w/ Cathe's

coremax. I didn't feel like the 4lber was enough for some of those

moves. I can't wait for it to get here! I love using the medicine ball :)

Can't wait to hear what you think about the workout!

well, ive had it for about a hundred years and have not done it so dont hold

your breath that it will get done in the near future...LOL. after trying

'core foundations' i was thinking that all of the others in the TLP set

would be too hard.

when i have alot of energy someday, and now that i know a bit more about it,

i will remember to get it out and try it!

I'm curious how big are the medicine balls? basketball size or smaller? volleyball sized, jen!

my weighted ball (which is squishy) is smaller than that... like the size of

a 10 pin bowling ball, maybe (?)

there seem to be lots of different sizes and weights in balls and it is hard

to know what to get... it depends on which videos you want to use it for and

which activities. however, if you run across a workout that needs a ball,

you can certainly substitute an unweighted ball (like a childs play ball) or

a light dumbell or just pretend that you have a ball and go through the

motions.

i thought that you would have a volleyball for sure jen! a basketball will work... even just throwing it up in the air and catching it -- squatting on the catch and/or jumping up on the throw... holding it out and up on one hand while lifting the other leg for a balance challenge. bending over and passing it back and forth, weaving it through your legs. how about a 'bounce, bounce, leg up and over the ball, then catch' kind of move? lots of fun things to do with a basketball. and sure, if you end up doing a video that needs a ball then substitute that one!
