Guest guest
Hi Zoe, according to people on the MB12 spray list, Dr Usman is using the MB12 spray so perhaps it is just a matter of time. I am also interesting in trying this after reading good reports. on has been on the MB12 injections since last summer, with everything hard to say what the improvement has been but we continue nevertheless. As the nasal spray would be less invasive I am all for giving it a go. I speak with Dr H in a couple of weeks so will ask again, nothing like pester power! Guest guest
DrN is currently running a shot versus spray comparison trial. Don't know how long it is going to take before he anounces any results. Guest guest
We spoke to DrH three weeks ago and he ok'd LDN. Mark is supposed to send us some this week with a new mb12 batch. Will we be the first here to try this? Guest guest
Afraid not. Dr H gave Tom LDN last Thursday and we have been using a week. No great wows as yet - Tom has a cold.(Am still looking for my wow! with Tom) I also asked Dr H about MB12 nasal spray, his reply to me was that the spray was not yet tried and tested. When it was he would provide until then he was waiting and watching with interest. Guest guest
I heard later on this evening that it was Jill who is running the trial of shots vs spray and that she is using Dr N's protocol for the shots. Apparently this trial has only just been approved so I guess it may be a while before it reports. Some of us from TA will be meeting with Steve Edelson from ARI soon so maybe we can ask him for more info. Guest guest
We did LDN without any particular wows or particular problems. Our greatest problem was givin it when he was deeply asleep - as he's an insomniac and we often go to sleep when he's still awake. We were giving one line of LDN and it completely zapped his appetite. TOm is a skinny little thing, only 3 stone at 7 years old, so this was a disaster. He just didn't need to eat. So we lowered it to a blob and appetite came back. Used for about six weeks - he was fine, possibly calmer after a few nights sleeplessness and early waking but no sustained or clear gains. Watch out for the appetite thing. It's cheap, it's really working for some parents and I can understand the logic but I don't think it did much for Tom. There's an LDN group that Dr McCandless uses if you're interested. Guest guest
Steph, I wouldn't completely give up on it yet - quite a few families that reported no gains go back to it at a later stage and see a different reaction... it probably depends on lots of things going on in the body at a particular time so if you follow an unsuccessful round of LDN with another biomed treatment or new supplements/diets etc.... then you go back to another LDN trial you might be surprised next time around...
