Guest guest
I know a number of pet owners who are so sick and tired of watching their pets suffer from reactions to pet food that they have switched to giving them " human food " . - > Toxic reactions are often misdiagnosed as food allergy, she said. > " Ten years ago it was a rare occurrence, now it's becoming more > frequent and this may affect children in infancy, but more commonly > we see patients who are adolescents, typically males, typically > those with asthma … and they present with symptoms of reflux, > vomiting, food refusal, abdominal pain, difficulty swallowing and, > in extreme cases, with the weight loss or failure to thrive. Guest guest
I'm encouraging many to do this in my area. When I had my two 99 pound babies always cooked from scratch for them. Course I didn't feed them the same as our food (pets have different requirements) but I did cook their food every day and I planted special plants in the backyard for them to munch on. During the winter months they loved eating their fresh green oat leaves. Took a while but worth it to me. Made a great " puppy biscuit " for them that I ate also. They were very healthy. One died of old age, the other got cancer after eating a plant at a friend's house that she had sprayed with roundup even though she told me her backyard was safe and unsprayed. After Gloria started munching, she " remembered " she sprayed the roundup day before! Sigh. Guest guest
I cooked for my dog for about one and a half years- he was wheat and dog food intolerant because of the mold- his teeth became highly coated with plaque from no dry dog food- now that we are both healthier- a ggod quality dry dog food he digests fine- my 2 best friends are vets and they keep insisting that a high quality dog food is better than home cooking- it certainly is easier > > I know a number of pet owners who are so sick and tired of watching > their pets suffer from reactions to pet food that they have switched > to giving them " human food " . > > - > > > > > Toxic reactions are often misdiagnosed as food allergy, she said. > > > " Ten years ago it was a rare occurrence, now it's becoming more > > frequent and this may affect children in infancy, but more commonly > > we see patients who are adolescents, typically males, typically > > those with asthma … and they present with symptoms of reflux, > > vomiting, food refusal, abdominal pain, difficulty swallowing and, > > in extreme cases, with the weight loss or failure to thrive. Guest guest
My Vet, groomer and several friends who are breeders say that Flint River Ranch is the best dogfood if you don't feed raw?? I'm gonna switch when her Trader Joe's Organic is gone......I also give my dog and daughters dog(s) a tablespoon of " No Shed " daily.....it is packed full of minerals. Keep a smile on your face, love in your heart and walk with the angels, holding hands in the " Chain of LOVE " .... Not cheap, but worth every penny for my best pal. I can count the number of friends who never doubted my " mold concepts " on one hand, and that includes Kitty. When I lost everything else, my pal and I made it through, tenting it and all. Coyotes all around, she hid under my truck. She's a real KittyMoldWarrior. -
Guest guest
Can't say the facts now but I have read anything from Science Diet food for animals ADVOID!!!!!!!!! BHT I know is in there and not sure what else but know IAMS and Science Diet are not quality foods and wasting $$$$$ and hurting pets. Don't ask for facts b/c I learned that years ago. I use Purina One now and they use Vit. E for a preservative which sounds way better to me than BHT ETC. They put that junk in our food too. Science Diet and Iams are just scams IMO and ripping people off and killing pets. Ouch, my keyboard is sticking from other night wine spilling. I swabbed and they blow dried but still sticking where I spilled. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Guest guest
BHT isn't bad as food additives go. (Some people take it as a supplement.)
Guest guest
Who knows the real one on pet food, I cheat and give my faithfull little dog bites of everything I eat but have always fed her the Nutro Max. It seems to be a good food but I really don't know She is sick too so I cannot really give an opinion either way. I do know a lady in Atlanta who make dog and cat food fresh and with nothing but natual ingredients, I could not afford it myself but if I ever come across her wab address or phone number I will contact her and get some further information for anyone interested. I do totally agree with the science diet and Iams though.... Chris..
