Guest guest
Debbie, I haven't used it on any of my cats yet - they hate baths! But I do believe the EO's used are safe for cats??? Anyone here know better than me about them? Janet Thank you for sharing your recipe. Does this work for cats as well? Thanks Debbie

Guest guest
Speaking as someone who used to breed Persian cats and has been known to have up to 10 cats and kittens around the place, wash cats only as a last resort. Essentials for cat-washing - Band-aids (plenty of), rubber gloves, coverall or large apron, ear-plugs, deaf neighbours and a spirit of adventure. I love the idea of someone trying to soap a cat. A squirt of washing up liquid was the best I ever managed - and most of that went over me! Seriously though, eos make cats ill. Don't use them. The only time I got away with bathing cats was when a group of foundlings were under 2 months old. Once they got past that point, no way would they agree to a bath (not that they enjoyed it before 2 months of age). Below is something I came across months ago, and I don't remember where I got it. While intended as a joke, I think it highlights the problem of cat bathing. NightShade How Real Men Wash Cats 1. Scrub toilet and flush several times. 2. Fill toilet with warm water and add a squirt of pet shampoo. 3. Drop cat in toilet and slam lid shut. 4. Sit on lid - cat's efforts to free itself will generate a good deal of sudsing and washing motions. Drink beer while waiting. 5. Flush toilet a couple of times to rinse cat. 6. Leap off toilet seat, dash out door and slam it securely shut because kitty will erupt from the bowl as if jet engine is lodged up its butt. 7. Leave kitty to sulk and dry itself. Drink beer while waiting.:
Guest guest
Some of the products you use on your dog are not at all suitable for cats. If you read any of the natural recipes for pets it nearly always says not to use them on cats as some eo's can make your cat extremely ill. Always check carefully first before using any canine product on a feline. Carol
Guest guest
Hi.....I never laughed so hard as I have about the men's cat washing instructions. I can just picture it.....The cat we had 5 years really got into mischief a lot, and my husband would hold him by the back of the neck over the kitchen sink and use the dish sprayer on him from head to toe. The cat was a howling maniac! Jeanne ALL WASHED UP Nature Loving Soap http://allwashedup.freebooth.com
