Guest guest
I know that some of you use your machines for a lot of different things but for me it has been worth the expense for just the smoothies in the mornings and for soups. I really have not tried to do anything else with it and I am still happy. My drinks are for health, and I have a lot of stuff in one drink, the base is one apple and one orange, then I add some bran, flax seed, and grape seed extract. Ginger, Spinach, Kale, Cabbage,Carrot, Celery and assorted fruits, usually some blueberries, one third of a banana, and lately I have added some cantaloupe melon. My husband does not eat bananas or the melon and everyday he is eating this without knowing. I have added greek yougurt or cottage cheese or tofu and still he does not know. When I first started he was very reluctant and I did have to use tricks, I have added a little powder from a non fat, no sugar pudding or jello but do not have to do that anymore. I figured a teaspoon of that in a smoothie was better than no smoothie at all. This has helped my blood sugar problems and the best is that for over 40 years I have suffered from a skin reaction to the sun. I got the Vita Mix in early spring and I have not had one break out this year. According to my research it could be because of all the anti oxidents that I am eating every day. Of course this much stuff makes a full pitcher and we usually take two days to empty it but again I think it is better than no smoothie at all.
