Guest guest
More good news for APRIL FOODS DAY. I've been in communication with MICHEAL ROBERTS owner and founder of LEGACY CHOCOLATES of SP, Menomenie and now, NYC. He's a WAPF stalward from the beginning (even before actually, as he was dialed into Dr. Price for about 30 years). Anyway, he's coming to our food event and will be sharing advice, stories, food and more. Micheal was one of the original crew of HARBOR VIEW RESTAURANT in Pepin, WI which began over 30 years ago. Micheal (yes, he does spell it that way) was interviewed by Dara M. in the Feb. 3rd CITY PAGES and has gotten rave review everywhere, including a new story in NEWSWEEK magazine which apparently just came out this week. He also owns and operates two COFFEESHOPS in SP and Menomenie where he tells me one can find plenty of cream from MVV and HOPE DAIRY but no soy milk products! How about that? He is also an organic, sustainable ag, grass-fed beef rancher as well and has good-flavored and tender grass-fed beef available. I'll provide contact information soon in our database. Interestingly, he lives and farms about 3 miles from MVV near Arkansaw, WI. He's not much of a computer guy so we probably won't see him posting here directly but I think he will be a part of our creative food presence at Traditional-Foods-MN. I gave him a biz card 2 weeks ago, and told him he'd be perfect for us, and I guess he followed through! Yay! And his creations are beyond heavenly. ~Joe
