DSC; Passing on an email I received last week.

A family looking for others who might have similar experience knowledge.

I am not sure where this family lives., but regardless, any input from the

Ds community is welcomed.

Request for help:

" because of the rarity of this case. A friend's' 6.5 year old daughter was

just diagnosed with a rare brain cancer. She has Down Syndrome and needs

chemo and probably radiation asap. They need help spreading the word to find

others who have dealt with a similar situation.

She has malignant non germinoma (or mixed) cell brain tumors.

They are desperate to find other families, doctors, or anyone who has come

across a case like this or similar so that they can know how other children

with Down Syndrome have responded to treatment. There are a couple variables

that are unknown that they don't want to take chances on and know that if

they look hard enough - there are other people out there who have gone

through this or treated someone who has. "
