you can always use a rubber stamp. is doesn't have to be a stamp made

just for soap. i have used rubber stamps before. If you want a

custome one you can take a B & W design to places like office max and

kinkos and they will make you up a stamp. Prices vary but are all in

all not a bad price for a rubber stamp. Or it can be other types not

just rubber.

Also I know of someone in a nother forum who was akinging her own

soap stamps out of fimo dough. If ya want i might be able to get more

details on that.

Hi Shyra:

I have a friend down this way that had one done for a wedding. It was metal,

possibly Aluminum? Maybe not, considering reactions with caustic. I can ask

her where she got it if you like. She did say a lot of places are slow and the

one she used was pretty quick.

Shyra,

Found a couple of sites:

http://www.soapimpressions.com/

http://www.owossographic.com/index2.htm

I've also read that you can find " a rubber stamp you like and press it into

femo...bake it ... take that impression and fill it with femo , and gently take

it out of the impression and bake that one then adhere that to a wood block. It

works much better if the design is not too busy. "

Custom Soap Stamps

Has anyone had custom soap stamps made? I just did a search on Google and I

am not finding what I want. I keep getting companies that sell stamps -

mostly Milky Way Mold ones.

I found one place that made them, but they are copper. Not too sure how

copper would react with soap. Anyone know? They also say it can take up to 8

weeks to get the stamp. That's an AWFULLY long time!

If you could ask her, that would be wonderful! Someone suggested I try a

print shop. Now, I have to find a place that's not Staples, Office Max, UPS

Store, Kinko's...LOL

That is exactly what I Googled and I got 3 pages of places that sold rubber

stamps for rubber stamping/scrapbooking and a ton of pages of Milky Way

Stamps. I did find Soap Impressions. That's the company with the copper

stamps and I am not sure how it would react with the soap.

Shyra,

Google custom soap stamps. There are places that make them to order.

What is femo?

I found Soap Impressions and their stamps are copper. Is Copper safe with

soap? I know aluminum isn't. but what about after it's cured for like a

week? There's no lye then...well, I hope there isn't any!

Fimo is a polymer clay. I've never used it though, so can't offer much on that.

I really don't know about the reaction of the metals but I got the two sites

that I posted earlier from a soaper's forum and several people had commented on

good results with stamps from them. So I guess both are okay.
