I take 100 mg spiro and follow the low sodium to maintain a 120/88 bp. However my bp goes up to 150-190/100-130 if I cut down on Spiro. I've taken 50 mg and almost within hours my bp goes up. I am 5.2 and weigh 115 lbs. Perhaps you should talk to your doctor to increase your dose at least to bring down the blood pressure.(on 100 mg spiro my potassium went from 2.3 to 4.1 and has stayed so far)
