Ice Cream shake

Tonight I threw some ice cream and soy milk into the container so I could make

an ice cream shake. I didn't measure but it was only enough for one tall glass.

I used the variable speed and went all the way up to 10 and then back down again

a few times because it didn't seem to be blending. It blended a bit, but I

still one big lump of ice cream. I didn't want to blend it for too long because

I didn't want to start heating it up, but what could I have done to not have a

big lump? It tasted okay, but wasn't exactly what I had in mind.
