We were stationed in Missouri for 4 years. The weather absolutely stinks (if it

isn't raining, it's snowing) but the elementary schools were excellent in

Pulaski County where Fort Leonard Wood is. They are very inclusive (at

elementary level, mind you) and have excellent summer programs for ALL kids in

elementary school. The schools there for typical kids are good too at all

levels. That said, surrounding counties are terrible. I was a parent advocate

and spent many an hour just to convince school systems to teach academics in

their extremely segregated settings. Like many states, services depend on the

district. Also, I only know what has told me about adult services, but in

his area they seem to be excellent.

Well now..... I have heard that Missouri is REALLY bad with inclusion.

unless you live in one of the big cities like philadelphia and it is 7%

Ha! Try coming to Tennessee, land of almost 10% sales tax-- and STILL 49th

in education! (4th in roads though, and those idiot state folks are bound

and determined not to pass an open container law for passengers, even if it

costs them millions each year-- gotta have your priorities. : / )

Yes.... it's PA...... It does cost less to live up here than in MD tho. IMO.

That's primarily why I moved here in the first place, because I could no longer

afford to live in MD.
