Hi,For q2, if the permanent tooth was with open apex and we managed to put it back within the first hour, is it pulpectomy needs to be done on this tooth?Thanks in advance.Ahmed.

Hi Ahmed,If the replanted tooth had been immature with an open apex, U ll just review the patient 7-10 days after trauma to remove the splint, by this time if revascularization were thought possible.... follow up every 3-4 weeks to detect any signs or symptoms for pulp necrosis or root resorption,,Only at this stage u ll go for pulpectomy ,filling the canal with calcium hydroxide dressing replaced on intervals until there is a radiographic evidence of a calcific barrier formation.Source : case 26, third edition, problem solving.Nada..
