3 year old can't stop coughing

Hi All, My 3 year old son has a cough that will not go away.

It started with a cold that my 10 month old baby and my 3 year old both had

about 3 weeks ago, my baby is fine now no symtoms at all. My son still has a

runny nose and only seemed to cough at night, now today he has coughed all day.

I gave he cough meds that has not helped him at all. I am worried that it could

be whooping cough? If it was whooping cough wouldn't my daughter have the cough

also?

Any ideas? Thanks
