Guest guest
I don't frequently post but I try and educate myself through the numerous posts that come each day. I just booked mine and DD's ticket to Bombay/Mumbai India. I currently reside in the UAE (Asia). Dubai, UAE is not a high risk area for diseases etc. However, this will be DD's first visit to India. I am little concerned about the mosquitoes and the weather change plus the environmental toxins....She is 16 months, breast fed till about 7ish months in addition to formula. She is still on formula and a girl who doesn't easily gain weight and with a low appetite. Brace yourself - She was vaccinated at birth, 2 months and 4 months after which I decided to call it quits on the crazy number of vaccines. She's received BCG, Vitamin K, DTaP, OPV and injectable form of Polio, HepB, HiB *shudder* I really don't know how I let this slip through my research during pregnancy *I don't think I'll recover from that* The other reason that I am a tad scared is because DH and I are really not seeing eye to eye about stuff, he understands that vaccines are bad, not completely as to why. He showed some interest into reading about it, but he hasn't. He didn't want to take DD to Bombay because shes not totally vaccinated *phew* but I just booked our tickets today . Basically if DD does fall sick slightly or whatever he is capable of using that to work against me, saying I am a bad mother - that for my arrogance, I put my daughters life at risk. You know what I mean? Point being that I know what I am doing but need what I need to ensure optimum health for my daughter during this trip. I really need a break and want to spend time with my parents and this is what has kept me from doing it, I don't want to rush back should DD fall sick, what can I do to build her immunity and make sure I doing things to the best of my ability there. I have an open ticket which means if DD is well there, I can really stay however long I want to. Sorry if this is off topic, although I know what I am doing is right, I just want to make sure that is applies to where I am traveling - Mumbai, India. Additionally, sorry for making it long.
