Guest guest
Hi! Your diet sounds really good, you you mind sharing it with me? I need to lose about 150 pounds. Welcome to this group!! Hope you have a great day!!! Lynnshaunna <shaunnakaye@...> wrote: Hi Everyone! Just joined. I started out at 331.6 pounds May 15th this year, but I'm on the best diet I've ever been on and I'm already down 65.6 pounds in 3 months! So I have a little over a 100 to go, but have been so encouraged by being able to take the weight off this quick eating lean meats, vegetables and fruits. I feel great too, so much more energy. I was a snug size 28, and now am wearing loose 22's. The plan is called 1st Personal Diet, is anyone else here on it? I found out about it reading First magazine, there was a small article about Leah Remini from King of Queens sitcom losing 80 pounds in 4 months and thought Wow, must be too good to be true, but checked it out anyway. When you have such large numbers to lose, you need to be able to see some quick results to be motivated to stay on it for so long. Anyway, a bit more about me. I'm a 45 year old, married 28 years to my high school sweetheart, have one 17 year old son. We live in Northern California and own a Carpet Cleaning and Janitorial business. My DH started the diet 5 weeks ago and has lost 35 pounds, he only needs to lose another 20-30 though, and my son lost 16 pounds on it in last week, crazy how fast men and kids can lose! Just got through trying on some jeans I had up in my closet that have been to small for quite awhile now, most of them are too big now, how cool is that? =) Shaunna Luggage? GPS? Comic books? Guest guest
No, of course I don't mind. Its an individual plan though based on your blood work (not blood type). It was $279 to sign up for a 12 week program, plus $35 to go to a labcorp and get my blood drawn. Then they send you the diet which is made of quantities of lean meats, certain vegetables and fruits that are for you personally. It works on your human growth hormone somehow. You can check it out more on their website: www.1stpersonaldiet.com. I still can't believe I've lost this much weight in this short of a time. And I did have a couple cheat days too, so I might have lost even more! I've never felt that bypass surgery was something I wanted to do, yet I certainly wanted to lose quickly to stay motivated, and this diet is helping me do that. I'm not perfect, I do have a cheat day about every 6 weeks, but the rest of the time I'm on it 100%, thats the key, it will work for you as long as you don't deviate and you drink your water (65 oz a day) to help flush out the fat. You do need to weigh your portions. On my plan I can have a little dairy in the form of fat free or low fat plain yogurt, or fat free or low fat mozerella, or cottage cheese, but thats it. Also, I can have 6 crackers a day (each cracker not to weigh more than 5.85 grams, I can also have 3 fruits a day. I have to confess when I first got the diet I was thinking, I cannot do this, it looked so strict and I thought for sure I'd be starving, and although it said it might be tough the first few days, I've never actually experienced hunger or felt deprived. The fact that I'd spent the $314 to get started helped me at least give it a try and I'm so happy I did, within the first week I lost 14 pounds and my brain feel so much clearer, I suddenly had the motivation to do so many things I'd been putting off because I felt like a slug, both physically and mentally. Now the fruit and crackers are optional and you can eat them between meals, but I have such a hectic lifestyle that I prefer to eat them during my meals, then I'm good for 5 hours (which they suggest you do space your meals 5 hours apart), you cannot eat after 9pm, and if I eat dinner at 6pm I'm good, and I'm a night owl, so I usually am up until at least 1am, and I might have a diet cherry coke if I feel like something just because night time was always a snack time by habit not of necessity. Your only suppose to weigh once a month, but I can't seem to stay off the scale now! LOL! I'm wearing regular jeans today for the first time in years!=) Shaunna Re: Hello-I just joined!Hi! Guest guest
It doesn't sound like you are eating any fats. Can you tell me what you eat in a typical day? What veggies/meats are recommended for you? Do you know your blood type? This sounds very interesting, but also sounds like it's a Paleo diet, typical of what I recommend for people anyway. Is it recommended that you eat lean meats? Do you have any idea how many calories you are eating? Any other information you can send like a menu plan via email? Thanks for any info, I'm always trying to learn more. Luv, Debby San , CA 144 pounds lost! 95% of health issues reversed! Guest guest
No, it is pretty low fat, I can have 1 teaspoon of mayo a day, which I never bother with, I can also have limited amounts of Pam spray for cooking. Its not by blood type, its by your blood test, a metobolic blood panel. I guess the fats I do have are in the dairy & meat, might be some in the crackers? I have no idea how many calories, I've never done the math. All meats are to be lean, I also have a list of fish and seafood I can have as well. Here's what I ate yesterday: Breakfast:2 AkMak crackers with 50grams of low fat mozerella melted on top, with Pico de Gallo on top.180grans of honeydew melon Lunch:110grams of turkey breast110 grams of cauliflower-I like to steam it, then using some pam in a non-stick pan I put a little chopped onion and garlicand sautee, then add caulifower, yum!2 crackerssliced peach Dinner:110grams Top Sirloin steak110grams crookneck squash, onion, & garlic2 crackers180grams honeydew melon Throughout the day:75 oz of water1 large ice coffee with sugarfree flavored syrup Congrats on your weight loss as well Debby! I was the most curious about the particular veggies that are recommended you eat. Looks closer to The Zone. I know that the diet is not based on blood type, but I'm still curious what your blood type is? > Congrats on your weight loss as well Debby! Guest guest
Shaunna, I'm sorry to hear that. Are you back on track now? Anything I can do to support you? What challenges are you running into? Don't have time to prepare food? Feeling hungry, social situations? If I know what your challenges are, I might be able to give you some tips to help those situations. Luv, Debby San , CA 146 pounds lost! 95% of health issues reversed!
