Guest guest
Yeah, I have idiopathic cardiomyopathy. Last year I had a bunch of runs of A-fib and I believe they tweaked the settings on the ICD. They said A-fib can lead to blot clots. I don't remember right now what they thought the cause was. Guest guest
started going A Fib when he got his new unit. He would go A Fib for a short while and the new 3 lead would try to figure it out. Then he would go into V Tac and the unit would try to pace him out. Sometimes it worked, sometime it got a low jolt. After asking about this at the doctors when it first started we were told "it is a new unit and it may be working different that the 2 led, he needed to get used to it". Then the recall and we found out it was not the unit, but yet it was. Fri goes for a NIPS to see what the next step is. How the heck do you " get used to it " . Is it possible that it wasn't adjusted properly on installation? I'm scheduled for replacement of a recalled guidant 2 wire with a 3 wire (pending results of an echocariogram. I'm planning to dump Guidant (because of their unethical behavior) & switch to Medtronic. Was the malfunctioning unit a Guidant? Is this a common problem with 3 wire systems? Thanks in advance, Himself
Guest guest
I just read on BBC news that atrial fibulation is related to alzheimer risk. Atrial fib also causes infammation. mini strokes ? not sure HAs anyone tested for this? I wonder if a subset of cfid could be due to this? IS the test for atrial fibrualation safe for us to get? thanks , amy

Generally, if you have A-fib you will know it. Generally, you will feel the abnormal heartbeat, and you will often have symptoms: palpitations, irregular fluttering feeling in the chest, lightheadedness, fainting, weakness, shortness of breath, chest pain. > I wonder if a subset of cfid could be due to this? I doubt it. It's too easily diagnosed and treated. > IS the test for atrial fibrualation safe for us to get? All you need is an EKG.
