So how would we know if our state lawmakers quietly try to change the

vaccine law to omit the exemptions? You can be sure the medical/pharma

industry will try to nix the exemptions, if they aren't already. What do

they need to do this? Do they have to introduce a new bill or merely vote on

the existing one? Do they even need to vote at all? How does the public find

out about this? Is anyone watching?

**** Hi Jane, interesting comments. I heard on the radio this

morning that health officials are reporting increases in my areas as

well. Interestingly, the health official that was interviewed stated

that all cases were older children and adults that had already been

vaccinated. They are spinning it into vaccine sales of course, when

the answer is so obvious to anyone who wants to see the truth.

In my great state of Texas, HB 2292 was the exemption law introduced

and signed by the governor that protects our rights (thanks to PROVE

and supporters). THE best way to keep abreast is to go to your

respective State Legislative webpage and get on an email alert for

all bills proposed to go to committee. I haven't checked all other

states, but I would guess they have similar resources. Glad you

posed these questions, I sure hope others are staying up to speed on

this issue too.

Yes, and according to what I've read, pertussis is more dangerous in

teens and adults than in young children. So whenever I hear that " x

number of people suffered serious complications, " I wonder how old they

were (as well as what the rest of their health was like).

These are things we need to keep writing letters to the editor about,

because most people just DO NOT KNOW THIS and will believe the scare

tactics and the broad brushstroke with which these outbreaks are

painted.

Actually its the opposite. It is more dangerous in infants under 6 months

or so because their airways are so tiny

It is measles or chicken pox and measles that are more serious the older

you are.

I have been reading into vaccines since 1999,and this study had really got me

annoyed.In the start there was little talk of pertussis,though I do recall 2

local articles in the summer of 1999(Cleveland and Akron papers) talking about

cases of pertussis in infants exposed by parents,siblings,and hospital staff. A

few years more and there was talk about pertussis being dxed as any other

disease in the infected/vaccinated.Next came talk about how there were indeed

cases of pertussis in the vaccinated,because the vaccine only lasted 2-10 years

after the last dose. In all those stages there was a wish for a pertussis

vaccine for teens/adults,and there was talk of the pertussis vaccine already in

use in Canada. Now that there ARE vaccines for pertussis for teens/adults it is

interesting to see how more aggressive the finger pointing has become.There was

never any connection prior to the rise in disease rates being caused by parents

who turned the pertussis vaccine down.

I wonder when aP will be mandated for work and school for the older crowd.Soon

they will be giving it to the elderly.
