Jen,

Just about the remedies, I would highly advise getting a basic kit. It not

only saves you money in the long run (mine has 36 remedies and I think it was

about $80 from Helios) but it saves you having to run out with a sick child at 2

a.m. - or worse, from not having a remedy on hand.

I'll let someone else speak to you about rates, etc.. as I'm not knowledgeable

enough about that.

The remedy kit is the way to go, in my opinion, though. You'll probably have

to get extras here and there, but this is a great base.

Hi guys,

just a question, would it be cost affective to buy separate remedies on hand

to keep at home from a health food store or buy some kit on line. And, does

your homeopathic doctor charge to tell you what and how much of these

remedies to take in the future? Meaning if i already have what i need on

hand.

Also, can someone tell me how much most homeopaths charge (not for the

initial visit) for visits or consultations afterwards?

We have been seeing one and just wondered what the going rate was so i could

compare.

Our homeopath normally charges $70 for the first visit consultation, which

includes the fingernail analysis, tongue analysis, and eye analysis. He also

goes over family history, etc. It's a long consult. Then each visit thereafter

is $40, I think. For some weird reason, the doctor we picked loves my family and

my kids- and has YET to charge me!!! I also phone in with questions all the time

and he consults over the phone. But, each time I've been in there he says " no

charge " ... now I did recommend my in-laws to him and they pay a pretty penny

each month since they are doing a detox program- seeing AWESOME results by the

way- and they are buying all their supplements & remedies from him, as well as

paying I think $70 total for the both of them for a visit each month.

I would say from what I hear in talking to others that an initial consult of

$100 to $150 is about standard. Some even go to $175. We must remember that

the initial consultation is quite important and most homepaths spend a LOT of

time on this.

Acute calls can range from $35 to $75 as well.

But a good deal isn't such a good deal if you aren't seeing results. ; )

Most homeopaths give you the remedies you need for chronic consults. The

kit is useful for minor acutes and first aid.

I'll send info on where to get kits.

It depends on where you live how much a homeopath charges - San Francisco,

LA, NYC - can see upto $500 for an initial session (1-2 hour interview and

time to research).

Other areas typically $125 - $300. I charge $150 and others I refer to are

similar. Follow ups are $35-45.

Hi ,

I don't know what kind of a practitioner you see but a homeopath doesn't do

fingernail, tongue or eye analysis. That is not part of homeopathy. Of

course we look at all of those if we see someone in person. But sounds

like maybe you have a naturopath who uses homeopathy along with other things?

I checked around and the other recommended homeopath has a fee like that for the

1st consult- around $300. She also had a HUGE waiting list! Fortunately with

ours, if I need to get the baby seen THAT day, I can. Needless to say, I am glad

I picked the cheaper one!

Gosh!!! I am sooooooo jealous. Our homeopath charged our family of 4, 8

dollars to do all the basic testing...so i was thinking we got a good deal.

Yes- after I sent the email I realized I should have added that he is an ND

(naturopath) as well! Sorry for the misunderstanding!

In the bay area it is quite a bit more expensive $425 for the first consult

including follow up consults about that issue and then $250 thereafter for

each in person consult. Remedies are included in that cost.

Hmmm,

I have not yet seen the homeopath, I'm scheduled for June...but the

initial consultation is going to be $300. This will cover 3 months.

Does this seem reasonable?
