Guest guest
Hi Debbie __ I'd start on pre and probiotics. Garlic and Vita C would probably help too. Guest guest
I have chewed my nails for years and have had nail infections now and then also. What helps the best is using some lavender and calendula oils with some epsom salts in soaks/baths after I pop it and let it drain. The infection will just go away and it will heal up. I have never heard of a fungal nail infection leading to puss but, it may I guess it could be possible...Jenn L fingernail infection ??? > Hi everyone, > I have a question and I'm kind of at a loss of what to do next.So > hopefully someone has some ideas. Guest guest
Sue, I don't usually respond to posts unless it sounds familiar to me. I am a watcher though. I wanted to share my personal views about neosporin. I don't believe in using it because it may heal up the open part of the wound but, not kill all the nasty stuff inside always, so now, you might get an internal infection. Also, isn't neosporin an antibiotic? Antibiotics gave my daughter intestinal dysbiosis. We will never use them again unless she has a live and death emergency. Neosporin can be absorbed through the skin etc. We are facing a yeast/candida albican infection I believe was caused by using them too often. That includes the neo. Just my opinion though. Guest guest
Hi Jenn -- Not sure who posted the neosporin suggestion, but it wasn't me. I suggested Pre and Pro Biotics, garlic and C. Guest guest
Debbie, someone posted about this same sort of thing in the past couple of weeks... if you search the archives you will probably find a lot of useful things there. When my sons have this, I have them soak the fingers in warm epsom salt water several times a day, usually about 20 minutes at a time. Wrapping it well in a bandaid afterward also seemed to help. Good luck!
Guest guest
Debbie, I have had success using Manuka Honey for healing cuts and wounds. It's a special honey from New Zealand that has special healing properties. You can Google it and see for yourself what the uses have been for it. You can buy it in most health food stores but make sure it has a healing factor of +15 (at least). It's not cheap stuff, but then you'll have it on hand for future use. It's pretty yummy too. Good luck, Sheri B. debmomoftwinsx_2 <debmomoftwinsx2@...> wrote: Hi everyone, I have a question and I'm kind of at a loss of what to do next.So hopefully someone has some ideas. About 2 months ago or so one of my fingers had a hangnail or something like that and when i got rid of that and ever since has caused me a lot of pain , would not heal, red inflammed, swollen and now it's at the point of spreading across the nail bed and actually looks like it's lifting at the base (where your cuticles are)yellow too and almost looks like the nail is starting to lift off. I orginally used a homeopathic remedy for it to help get the pus out and help it to heal and that seemed to help a little but it was still very painful anyhow long story short my sister advised me to use neosporin which i tried but it's still not better . So does anyone have any ideas or should i just go see a doctor to rule out fungal infection? Sorry to bother you all with this ? Guest guest
I had alot of fingernail infections growing up and my mom had me soak my nail in Lysol water. The old fashioned kind. I think it was 2 parts water. Smelly but effective. debmomoftwinsx_2 <debmomoftwinsx2@...> wrote: Hi everyone, I have a question and I'm kind of at a loss of what to do next.So hopefully someone has some ideas.
