Guest guest
Hi all, have any of you come accross any studies that compare vaccinated, exclusively breastfed or at least partially breastfed children (but preferrably excl. to eliminate the possibility of allergies being caused by formula) to unvaccinated children, exlc. bf children? I have googled like mad, even using google scholar but many studies are not free of charge and the free ones are far and few between. I need some more as I am collecting as many as I can for a project to help babies be bresstfed and have complete benefit from breastmilk without the problems that formula fed babies have and the problems that vaccines cause. Thanks! Ingrid (Scotland)
Guest guest
I haven't come across any except for the fact that my child was breastfed until 11 months which she chose not to want it anymore. She was vaxxed until she needed another Tetnus and MMR for school and then I became enlightened My daughter does have some bad sensitivities going on but, we know what those are through starting slow with the SCD. Guest guest
The breastfed vs. not breastfed would probably be easier to find than vaccinated vs. unvaccinated, because the powers that be would be afraid of us seeing that those who aren't vaccinated are healthier. My two boys were both breastfed, my oldest son until he was two and my 3.5 year old is still nursing a couple of times a day. My older son was vaccinated and has allergies and asthma. My younger son hasn't shown any signs of any allergies, except ibuprofen, we gave it to him once when he had stitches and he broke out in hives that went away after about ten minutes. We have allergies on both sides of the family and my husband has asthma, so the odds were against him to not show any other signs. -- Sara Proud Mama to Colin 12/07/99 Jack 8/07/02 -------------- Original message -------------- From: Ingrid Schebesch <ingrid_schebesch@...> Hi all, have any of you come accross any studies that compare vaccinated, exclusively breastfed or at least partially breastfed children (but preferrably excl. to eliminate the possibility of allergies being caused by formula) to unvaccinated children, exlc. bf children? Guest guest
I have done my own little study, so not sure if this is worth anything to you. My first two children are vaxxed and were breastfed only through 9 months, then breastfed with some solids through 13 months when they weaned themselves. They both were very sick babies. My oldest has epilepsy and the other has food allergies. They both have seasonal & pet allergies as well. My 3rd child is almost 5 months old. He is not vaxxed and is breastfed only. He is SO healthy and so much healthier than my other two at this age. I am hoping that this is the case for the rest of his life, too! Everyone always are remarking how alert and happy he is for his age- he is very bright and already trying to sit up at 5 months, has been rolling around since 3 months, etc. Doing things sooner than my other two. Guest guest
Hi Stepahanie, thank you very much for this, can I keep your email and use it, please? This is exactly what I find time and time again, the benefits of bf are nullified or reduced by vacciantion so this can put many potential bf mums off. I have had exactly the same experience with my son, he was fine until his baby jabs and then he got bad eczema, in spite of excl. bf, delayed solids etc. Something is not right. Thanks. Guest guest
Thank you very much for your reply; these kind of studies are probably almost impossible to do as there are few excl. bf babies that are not vaccinated. I will try a different method. Ingrid
Guest guest
Isn't that the truth? I've spoken to many, many mums who have breastfed but vaccinated, and then babe's gone on to get something that is normally protected against by breastfeeding. Then it's " I did breastfeed but he/she still got eczema/ asthma/ ear infections/ psoriasis/ IBS/ hayfever/ADHD/ whatever....so breastfeeding did a fat lot of good, didn't it? " ...and so it goes on... No point in arguing - they won't listen. Friend back in Somerset has 6yo lad who definitely has strong symptoms of ADHD, possibly asperger's, breastfed him for a year or so, but then vaxed him fully. I innocently asked one day if she'd given him the MMR and she got very angry....I'm not sure she hadn't put two and two together and made four. And she didn't like it... Sad. Guest guest
Yes that's true. I'd say " study mine " - she was breastfed for 5½ years and is totally unvaxed - but even then she has had exposure to formula when it was given in hospital against my wishes. So she isn't even close to 100% suitable for studying....( Keep the faith, Ingrid. Maybe one day.... Guest guest
What would'e happened to this baby if mom didn't breastfeed? My little one was vaxed and breastfed and was very sick with allergies etc. Jenn L Re: Breastfeeding, vaccination and allergies > > studies > > > > > > Hi Stepahanie, > > thank you very much for this, can I keep your email and use it, > > please? Guest guest
My dd has slight exzema, and I didnt vax he but breast fed her for 10 months (then she went on strike and I let her wean). I can only imagine what her skin would be like if Id vaccinated her?? It would be a mess!! My dh has exzema as does my son, also bf and non vax.. but he has grown out of the red patches and now has like.. bumpy skin on his upper arms.. but htats it (and an occasional patch above his bottom). I think part of dd's problem is she loves dairy.. cheese, yogurt, milk... I leave out the milk and cheese for the most part, but she eats yogurt practically every day. To offset this, I use burts bees lotion and a natural lavendar bath oil.... that paired with a daily omega 3 keep her from breaking out in huge red patches htat she scraches till they bleed. > > What would'e happened to this baby if mom didn't breastfeed?
