Adrienne Flu / Edy, WAS cancer Hi Edy. When did you start to get sick, if I may ask? I've been sick as a dawg for the last week, and I was about to give up on finding anyone else ill (and chalk it up to my rotten gallbladder), and then I saw your post. I started last Thursday with an unholy migraine, and then symptoms progressed south, to give me a minor sore throat and wallop me in the gut. For the first four or five days, my eyes wouldn't focus right, either. Now it's mostly my gut, and though I feel better than three days ago, I'm still worn out...pulverized...and have the gut problems still. Whatchoo got, Edy? I sure hope you're doing better than me. in Champaign IL > > I'm 55 and feel exactly the same way. You kinda get this way cuz after decades of trying everything under the sun without any success and are still unable to get out of bed for most of the day one can get pretty discouraged. I recently started reading " Detoxify or Die " and can really see the point of the book. It's the next thing I'm going to try, but without the hope that's maybe required? I just want something to work for me without having to " believe " in it. I don't have to believe that if I cut myself I'll get a scab. It just happens. I'd love to find a treatment like that, but I've spent so much $ and so much time chasing treatments that I'm finding it unlikely. Sorry for the negative attitude, I've got the flu right now and am particularly sick on top of the ongoing problems. > > This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with each other, not to give medical advice. Guest guest
Hi , Hoo Boy, what don't I have? The gut is the main thing for me at this point. I can't eat and have lost precious weight. I also have a long time hiatel hernia that has flared up and given me a serious case of esophogitis that I'm treating for two weeks with prilosec. That usually calms it down. Head is killing me and zero energy. Sore throat and muscle aches galore. I'm on the west coast and this summer has been one of the coldest on record. Haven't seen the sun in weeks, lots of fog. I can tell cuz usually have a couple of months where no socks in the laundry....not this year. And I can't seem to stop crying. Lyme mood swings?? I'm thinking so and some pretty serious depression. Any of it sound familiar? I always think it's the flu, but of course who gets the " flu " about every 6 weeks? To be honest, this is only a couple of clicks worse than I normally feel anyway, but I hate not being able to eat. Best to ya, Edy P.S. I doubt I'm doing much better or worse that a lot of folks. The sickest ones probably can't even post. But this sucks with a capitol S! " Adrienne G. " <duckblossm@...> wrote: Edy and ; Sure hope you are feeling better soon. Guest guest
Do you use effective digestive enzymes? My doc says the brand he recommends (Tyler)is helpful to all who try. Sure helped me with symptoms, and over time much gut healing. I also was helped by fermented cabbage (not salted.) Heat on the stomach helps, as does gentle massage, as tolerated. I think gut and sleep are the two biggies to focus on. A lot gets better if those 2 do. Adrienne Flu / Edy, WAS cancer Hi Edy. When did you start to get sick, if I may ask? Guest guest
Hi Adrienne, Yes, I take Tyler Simalase for a few years now. It has made an amazing difference, but when these bugs come along I'm down for the count. Also I do massage the hernia down alot taught to me by a chiropractor, but I think the damage to the opening is pretty bad now. What helps the most is to lie in bed at an angle and put a heating pad on the tummy and intestines. I'm hoping it's killing some bad bugs. Sometimes I use castor oil packs under the heating pad. My bed is at a 12 inch sland which you can imagine is pretty funny as I'm usually slipping off the end by morning. But I've had to sleep this way for years due to all the hernia problems. Guest guest
Hmm. The one I use is called Gastric Complex. I had hernia problems, too, but they have mostly subsided. Changing my diet helped. Less fat, less carbs, less quantity. I didn't raise the bed, I slept on a heap of feather pillows. Helped w. my joint aches, too. I am just starting to treat viruses. Too soon to say, really but does seem to be working an herbal tincture and homeopathic transfer factor. (My doc made that for me.) Of course plenty of vit c and some zinc, too. Guest guest
Edy, I forget, are you supplementing with vitamin d3? > > > > I'm 55 and feel exactly the same way. Guest guest
Hi Edy, I had just heard it was good for mood, and you mentioned the cloudiness and depression. If you have certain polymorphisms you are less adept at making Vitamin D from sunlight so you need to supplement it I guess you know that already. > > Jill, > Yes I take about 1500 mg a day when I'm O.K. enough to take me vitamins. I heard an interview with Dr. Vieth a couple years ago and googled some of his studies so decided it was a prudent thing. Why? >
Guest guest
Hi Edy, I've always been afraid to do coffee enemas as I'm sensitive to caffeine. I was thinking of getting a home colonic machine but haven't gotten to it...in the one I was looking at you can do an instillation afterwards. So you could put chlorophyll (wheatgrass) or probiotics etc. into your colon. I would prefer that in terms of detoxing, plus liver flushes. I still plan to do this but everything takes so much longer than I initially plan~ > > I know your time is gobbled up mostly, but the Vieth stuff of Vit D is pretty interesting if you have the time. I think the depression is from just being sick and tired for so long and then getting slammed with flus and such. I'm a bit better today and am sitting in the sun reading Detox or Die. I think detoxing may be a huge component to my situation and since I have a sauna I might as well go for it. I wish I could do the coffee enemas, but since my heart is so erratic I'm leary of the caffeine. Do you have an opinion on this? Would love to hear it. > > j
