Guest guest
Dear Arthur, That is your experience and I am glad it works for you. The doctors I have talked to complain that the people do NOT sweat with the far infrared, whereas they do with steam saunas. The whole frequency range below the red spectrum is infra red. Far infra red is just the lowest part of that frequency range. Look at a chart. We deal with MS all the time in our steam sauna. It is just a matter of keeping the temperature lower until they become acclimated. Mercury toxic people abound and we have not had a specific problem with them in the steam sauna. Once again, I believe that is specific to you. Mercury is oxidized and excreted through the action of ozone. It shows up as brown streak on the towels. I understand your projection from your own experience, but you are one unique individual, whereas I am dealing with dozens of people through our clinic, and thousands of people through the over 175 clinics worldwide using our ozone steam saunas. Best of Health! Guest guest
May I add my husband's experience? We have a FIR tent and he saved his sweat that was puddled in the bottom of the tent and it was a quart of dirty sweat. He really sweats. You can hear it dripping when he's in the tent. I personally do not handle heat well, I get fainty, so the FIR works for me, too, but I don't sweat as freely as my husband. Guest guest
Hi Art. This is my experience also. I have a little LED infrared unit that I use at night to treat my spine and adrenals and I like what it does in the way of strengthening. But for infection or detox I find the FIR is the most powerful. And the TDP lamp is quite awesome. Just love it. and it can be used to make a sauna set up. But you are right, it is just a lamp. However I have seen it alone do profound amounts of healing for people. I have to say I have not experienced the sense of well being that I get from FIR, from any thing else. As Saul said, it is in the same range as what our body emits. I think that it recharges our own batteries, so to speak. I have had so many people say it is hard to define but it makes you feel more alive. I really love it. Regarding your other news about your current mental clarity. That is such great news. Really loved hearing that. Have a good weekend all. Donna http://www.excellentthings.com ----- Original Message ----- From: aluckower i have tried regular sauna, steam sauna, infrared, and far infrared. by far and away the best was far infrared. Guest guest
Adam - It's about 1 foot by 2 feet, and has adjustable heat as well. Not very comfortable to sleep on, but I've gotten used to it. They have more expensive units, one of them a " rainbow " that arches over you, but not something I can swing. There's even a sauna, but it's several thousand dollars. Bessie > >> > >> Bessie, > >> You mentioned using far infrared evernight. Staninger has them for 350$ i wonder if these ones im finding on google shopping are the same. Guest guest
I know they work kj, when i used staningers sauna for 1hr. That night i went home and was nauseated and vomited. She said it probably was too much too quick and should of had me for 30mins. But im most certain these things do detox. Guest guest
Adam - It is nothing like that one, and I wish I was in the position to say if there is a difference in effectiveness. I'm tempted to say " ask Dr. S " but if she has a financial interest in the ones you get through her I don't know if you can get an unbiased answer. Not that I mistrust her, but it only stands to reason. Perhaps you could ask her WHY the one she recommends does something that the alternatives don't? Guest guest
- That's tough to answer because I don't actually " feel " anything (except the warmth if I turn the heat up - but that is unrelated to the actual far infrared). In general far infrared is supposed to assist the body in the detoxification process and promote healing. As I understand it, our cells are supposed to have some of it naturally, but " we " are compromised and have to replenish it. I believe her paper on it is available on her website. If not, just google " benefits of far infrared therapy " . As I've said before, when you do a hundred things it is real hard to know what any one thing is doing. The only thing that I could tell was helping me feel stronger is when I added Gilham's " Natural Calm " magnesium supplement. Maybe because I added that later. Guest guest
Adam - That makes sense, as it is supposed to break down toxins. If too much gets broken down too quickly, then the body has to rid itself. I guess that's what " Herxheimer " means (in part). Guest guest
When I Google Stanninger + far infared, I get explanatory material and an ad for Sunlight Saunas. When I click on the ad, I got lots of explanations and convincing illustrations of why their far infared is superior to other saunas. They also have a pad. Prices are not available on the site; you have to phone or send e-mail address, etc. What brand is Stanninger herself selling? Guest guest
OK, - this is the article I was looking for. It is the company she is connected with. I would still ask her to explain why these are better than other, cheaper models: http://www.mpsglobal.us/sd.htm Bessie > > >> >> > > >> >> Bessie, > > >> >> You mentioned using far infrared evernight. Guest guest
I just purchased a sauna from clearlight Infrared Sauna. I did a lot of research and felt that this was the best. There are two types of infrared heat--one is ceramic, it is the older of the two, provides more heat but doesnt penetrate the skin as deep as the other--the carbon heat--this one penetrates the deepest into the skin but doesnt get as hot. Some say the carbon is the best b/c it penetrates the deepest, doesnt get as hot, allowing you to stay in longer. Others like ceramic because you have the option for higher heat. I found only one company that has both combined--Clearlight. I havent had it very long but LOVE IT!! I try and use it twice per day, I am not one to perspire much, could run 5 miles with little sweat. Not with this- -I have never sweated so much in my entire life! I feel so clean when I get out. A lot of health spas, gyms are getting infrared saunas b/c they are so much better than the old rock heat. I if you had to choose between one form of heat or the other the carbon would be my 1st choice...but absolute first would be to combine them both. > > >> >> >> > > >> >> >> Bessie, > > >> >> >> You mentioned using far infrared evernight.
