Guest guest
> ok - so by the header you've guessed this has not been my best birthday ever LOL *lol* Love that you have a good sense of humor about it, though! Sure am glad you're feeling better, --take care of yourself. I used to get cycts on my right ovary and every time I'd have to go in and they'd have to rule out appendicitis. They really do hurt! I had some that would just twinge and go away, but also had some really bad ones. Hopefully you won't have to go through this again. :-) Hope you have a great dinner out Sunday for your belated birthday -Bonnie
Guest guest
(((()))) >So off I go for my first ambulance ride. I'm so drugged I'm talking to co-workers and have no memory of that. The first time I ever went to the ER via ambulance was a few weeks after Henry was born and I thought I was hemorrhaging again, and of course I wound up in the ER of the very hospital I was working at. So embarassing, especially when my breasts started leaking and I had to breast-feed Henry in front of my male co-workers. As it turned out it was severe hypoglycemia (non-fasting blood sugar in the 40's) and the beginning of my CFS and 2 years of panic attacks. > It gets worse - at one point my sister is talking to me about ovaries and I'm talking to her about maple trees! LOL Last week on vacation some little old ladies were talking to me about quilting classes and I was replying about the disadvantages of getting work as a crossing guard! In my case, it was the fault of my messed up ears (Ed agreed that some of the words they said *could* have been mis-heard by a near-deaf person when they were discussing the best corners). That happens to me a lot lately and shows how much worse my hearing has gotten the past few months. I don't even hear the phone ring any more. >Anyway - the cat scan shows at's a cyst on my ovary and not appendicitis. how can something so small (4.5 cm) hurt so damn much. One of my former co-workers could tell you. She would suddenly be doubled over in pain while walking down the hallway and wound up in the ER more than once, thinking the cysts had ruptured. Don't worry - they never did and they did clear up over time thanks to antibiotics. >she did the ultrasound and said it was most likely nothing to worry about Good news. > I went to work for half a day today But did your doc say it was OK or you just sneaked out on your own? > I don't do bedrest super well I could never stay in bed, either. >though I did spend my whole birthday in bed sleeping. Maybe you can have a belated birthday celebration when you feel better. It sucks being cheated out of one of the few days of the year you can break loose and have fun. Guest guest
, Im sorry you had to be in pain on your birthday. I hope you are feeling better now. Blessings, my birthday, my 1st ambulance ride & hospital drugs, bed rest ok - so by the header you've guessed this has not been my best birthday ever LOL Monday night, I started getting really sick doing some pc work for my mom. At first I thought it was another occular migraine (diagnosed that saturday) so I went to lay down - it kept getting worse - I was doubled over in pain - vomited etc. by 4:30 in the morning I was thinking of heading to the er - but I'm tougher than that. Tried to get some sleep. Took my daughter to work (we work together and her car wasn't behaving) and told them I was going across the street to the treatment center. a few hours later they think it's my appendix - OK so I panic - at 306 that's a lot of fat to go through. Then they finally give give me something for the pain - way out pains childbirth. Then comes the ambulance - I'm looped - I asked these 2 skinny guys if they were even told that I was morbidly obese and could I please just walk, (my sister and more than 1 of her co-workers - emt's and paramedics, have been injured carrying obese people). They said no and just don't try and reach out and grab the sides etc. So off I go for my first ambulance ride. I'm so drugged I'm talking to co-workers and have no memory of that. It gets worse - at one point my sister is talking to me about ovaries and I'm talking to her about maple trees! Anyway - the cat scan shows at's a cyst on my ovary and not appendicitis. how can something so small (4.5 cm) hurt so damn much. I'm not usually such a whimp but this is kicking my butt. The doctor said 4 days bedrest - I had an appointment with my own gyn yesterday - she did the ultrasound and said it was most likely nothing to worry about, I went to work for half a day today - I don't do bedrest super well though I did spend my whole birthday in bed sleeping. So in a nutshell - I'm a year older LOL -Live, Love, Laugh

Guest guest
so you know the pain - how in the world do you make it go away? The precription drugs were just for 4 days - today is day 5 and I've had 2 flareups already! If I have to wait for my period it's going to be a long 2-3 weeks! Guest guest
thanks Sue - and after a pretty darn good week back on track! You're heartier than I - I would of died 1,000 shades of red LOL. Though at one point I didn't care - I just wanted the pain to go away I hate that your ears are getting worse. Is there anything they can do? antibotics - they didn't give me any of that - though now that you mention it they did say my white count was elevated mmmm... I did sneak out of the house to go to work - twisted - though I called it a day after 4 hours and came back home and crawled back into bed and slept.
