Great job, lady, and I'm looking forward to hearing more about your experiences once your computer problems get resolved Congrats on the loss --how are you? Did you ever talk to DH about joining WW again or have you decided to do it on your own? When do your girls go back to school? I'll bet you are quite busy with them over the summer --how have you been? Are you following your diabetic diet more closely now? Have you been getting in exercise lately? I hope you're doing well! I miss your posts Me stuff: I'm mostly tired. I was sick for a few days, now the boys have it and OH MY GOSH are they ever grumpy. I'm not a yelling kind of mom usually, but between them whining and fighting constantly, I've damn near yelled myself hoarse You know, today I realized I'd rather have *me* be sick for three weeks than have to deal with them sick for 4 days. I am about to pull my hair out. Thank heavens they are sound asleep. It's been a long day Other than that, I'm just hanging in there, taking each day as it comes. No new loss to report, just holding steady at 75 lost. Yesterday I completed Cathe Friedrich's 50 minute Body Fusion workout and I'm still sore today. Oh! And I noticed something yesterday when I got out of the shower--the back of my thighs have no cellulite (sp?) anymore! They were very lumpy and cottage cheesy looking last year and maybe it's all the muscle I've been building up (and the weight loss helps, too), but it's gone! I never thought I'd see the day. I stood and stared at 'em for like 5 mins. *lol* I'm a goob, what can I say? I really never thought I'd see the day. My upper arms, however, will always have the 'echo effect', I'm afraid. If I wave at ya, the flabby part just a-keeps on a-wavin' Ah well. At least there's muscle in there somewhere, right? Well, I'm off to bed. Wish me luck tomorrow if the boys still aren't feeling well. ;P -Bonnie

When my kids are sick I make them a bed on the couch and play a stream of their favorite DVDs. The kidlets are 5 and (almost) 3. I should've done this yesterday, but I get to feeling guilty about letting them sit in front of the TV all day. And somehow, it makes them more whiney. Anyway, I'm sure today will be better. *laugh* It kinda has to be -Bonnie

Guest guest
Thanks, Kathey! I started a year ago in September. My loss has slowed a LOT since about March/April. *shrugs* I've gone down another size, maybe a bit more since then, but it's slow going. I'm not following along quite as strict as I was in the beginning, but that's mostly because I want this to be something I can stick to for a lifetime. I still exercise at least 6 days a week and I still count calories every day, but instead of going 'off' once every 2-3 weeks, I go off about once a week. I was at about this weight for a long time when I was putting on weight, so that might be part of it, too. But I remember back in the beginning, when I was dropping 12+ pounds/month, I thought I'd be down at least 100 by now. *lol* Good thing I didn't have my hopes pinned on that or I might've given up when I didn't reach that, y'know? Kathey, 41 pounds is fantastic! Have you lost the drive, or have you just lost the urgency? I've lost the urgency and I don't think that's a bad thing, really. I'm not as focused on the scale anymore I think you're doing great--just stick to it and the scale will move again! -Bonnie > Bonnie, you sure are an inspiration to me! Guest guest
I think you hit the nail on the head when you said you had sorta thought in your mind that you could be at 100 by now.....I made that mistake back in January thinking that I could loose AT LEAST 50 pounds by our big Sturgis trip NEXT WEEK but in my head I was thinking that I could even loose MORE since it was about 7 1/2 months away!!! So, I think I sabotaged myself and now feel like I am a failure for not even meeting my 50 pound goal, so like I have given up.....BUT I DO KNOW THAT I HAVE DONE WELL, just not as good as I wanted to for myself....so does that mean I am a failure??? ABSOLUTELY NOT, but tell my head that!!!! ÜÜ You are absolutely right about everything you said...and I just have to tell myself....well, Kath...at least you are 41 pounds lighter than you were 6 months ago!!! Thanks, Bonnie...for the encouragement.....I know I (we) can do this!God Bless! Kathey Re: Hodge podge Thanks, Kathey! I started a year ago in September. Guest guest
Hi there, I am trying to follow the diabetic way they taught me, but for some reason I just can't get back into it. I am trying though. I have gotten the book Sugar Busters which is supposed to be good for diabetics too. I am thinking about following the book, but also doing the way I was taught at the same time. It seems pretty close any way. I haven't got any money just yet to go shopping to buy the healthier foods I need, but I am hoping that when I get my money that I will be able to go to the store and buy all the things I need to do this right and really get going with it. I haven't been exercising right either. Right now I am not only really hot, but it is TOM too. I'm cramping like crazy and not wanting to do much of anything. I am planning though on getting back into exercising again even when it is hot. The heat just wears me out so much and it affects my emotions too. Major struggling right now. That is why I haven't been as active on this list for awhile now, but I am hoping that too will change. I hope you are well. Are your kids any better? I hope so. Not only for their sakes, but for yours too. from MO.--how have you been? Are you following your diabetic diet moreclosely now? Have you been getting in exercise lately? I hope you'redoing well! Start now. I'm sure you have"normal" food in your house. Just eat it but do so sensibly. Watch the portions. Thats the main thing. Then as you get the money replace your foods with healthier foods when you can. Try and make it your mini goal to resist all dessert and sweet foods for 1 week. I know that you have a lot of trouble with that. I really believe if you can avoid the dessert type foods for 1 week and do portion control on the rest of the foods it will give you the incentive to get back into this weight loss big time again. , I know it is easy for you to give up. We all do it at times but I really want to see you suceed. Please don't disappear and keep us posted.
Guest guest
Good, I'm glad you are still around and trying. I really would like to see you succeed. I know this is so hard for you. I'm also glad you have been able to resist the sweets. I also know that was hard for you too. Just keep trying. Anytime you want to just talk or vent just give me a yell. Hi , I'm not waiting till I get more money to measure my food out and watch all my portions. I'm trying to go ahead and do that. I'm sorry if it sounded like that I am waiting till I get more money to buy the healthier foods. I have five dollars in cash and like three dollars in the bank. So right now I am pretty dog gone broke. Thankfully I have paid all my bills for the month. I do get my husband's check tomorrow. It won't be very much, because he only works two days a week, but hey it will help some. I think for awhile there I did give up, but I am trying to get back into the swing of things again. I have some hope back again. After my TOM stops bothering me so much I am planning on starting my exercising back up again. I know I feel a lot better when I exercise, but I just can't seem to make myself to do it when I am having TOM. I haven't had Mc's cookies in a few weeks now (I think). I haven't had any really sugary desserts in a while that I can remember. My memory though might not be right. I have been at night having a sugar free popsicle. That has helped some with my sweet tooth. Your right though, if I could get my sweet tooth under control and my portions right then things will get back on track for me right. Thanks for pointing that out. from MO. _,_._,___
