Guest guest
I am SO FULL. I'm not sure /what/ I was thinking (Other than that the end of the day was coming, and I was quite sure I was well short of my calories for the day!) Tonight, I ended up with a *double patty* hamburger (homeade, extra-lean 4oz patties, do don't go screeching into the night just yet and I had it on TWO slices of Nature's Own Double Fiber bread. (20g carb, 10g fiber total) /and/ my usual side salad. *BLOAT* I think I'm going to pay for this one. That was a lot of fiber in one meal. Ruh-roo, Scrappy. Gives it a little something. I usually can get 2 or 3 sandwiches out of 1/4 lb. NH... Mom to Abby Liz 10/94 Anne 7/
Guest guest
That sounds really good, ! I love sandwich meat wrapped in lettuce with a little shredded cheese and some light mayo or mustard and tomato. Now I'm thinking about lunch and I haven't even had breakfast yet! I bet some loose meat (ground beef, turkey) would be good, too. Oh! For those of you with Kroger's near you, they have a great sale on ground turkey through Wednesday: $2/pound. They also have 96% lean ground beef for $2.59/lb out here. -Bonnie > Dont ask what show I saw it on but they had a cheeseburger but instead of a > roll they used a few lettuce leaves and wrapped it up and ate it. Guest guest
I have heard of doing that before (using lettuce instead of buns). I might give that a try some time. You say it turned out good? from MO.>> Dont ask what show I saw it on but they had a cheeseburger but instead of a > roll they used a few lettuce leaves and wrapped it up and ate it. Guest guest
I'm just going to have to give it a try then. Didn't they do something like that on The Biggest Loser? I think I remember that from there, but not sure. I need to stop by the store and buy some lettuce. Sounds like it might just taste really good. from MO. > Yup the lettuce gave it the crunch. Guest guest
It helps if you can different varieties of lettuce too. I get tired of the taste (or lack of taste) with iceberg lettuce. Experiment with some other types of lettuce to see if you get a different/better flavor combination. memyselves2002 <memyselves@...> wrote: I'm just going to have to give it a try then.
