Keep up the good work Beej...have you ever tried the patch to quit smoking? My

SIL used it and it worked great for her. She had been smoking heavily since she

was 15 years old (she's in her early 30s now). I think she was afraid to quit

because she thought she would gain weight. She's very body concious and about

as big as a toothpick : ) She didn't gain an ounce though and she has been

smoke-free for months now.

Happy Wednesday!

Ok.......so........day 2 no smokes.....both dogs are still alive,

hubby is still alive (only because he had to work last night) Been

drinking so much water that I slosh when I walk. Been eating OK so

far.......well........'cept for the Arctic Circle grasshopper shake

last night....my bad, but VERY nummy. Today will be better. Gonna

hit the gym after work and get rid of the milkshake from last night :)

I was wondering, has anybody tried mixing protein powder in

applesauce, and if so, is it any good? Just looking for options.

Everybody have a great BFL day!!!

Beej :)

I have got a patch on now. When I quit 3 years ago, I used the patch

for about a week, and that was all it took. I am hoping I can do

that again. What scares me, is when I quit that last time, I was a

size 5, and within 3 months had gained about 25 pounds!! Guess it

didn't help that I had started taking the Depo shot AND replaced the

smokes with Cheetos and Whoppers. I can do it!!!! No more cheetos

and whoppers!!! Thanks Vicky!!

Great job on the no smokes! Thankfully I've never smoked but the

entire rest of my family did. I watched my sister and mom struggle

with quitting but they are so thankful they did. Unfortunately,

father is still addicted and it is affecting his health :(

As far as applesauce, I'd stay away from it if possible. Whole fruit

is better. But, if it is all you have, it is better than other carb

choices. When I did the Zone a lot of people mixed their protein

powder in it and enjoyed it.

Hi Bonnie,

WTG on your walk! It allllllllll adds up! You'll be doing 5k, 10k, & 26.2 miles before ya know it!

And.....with the price of gas....I figured that I should share this cool tool with you....I use it almost daily. Gmaps Pedometer It's like wearing a virtual pedometer. You zoom in on your town/street, and then start recording by double clicking on your starting point, and click on each turn & curve in the road, etc. until you've finished your route. Then, look over on the left side of the page, and it'll tell you exactly how far you've walked.

Enjoy!

Fantastic!

Maybe try more protein in the morning and through out the day and maybe

drink a bit more. Hopefully you can find ways around the starving feeling

because you certainly don't want intense exercise to hurt your eating

control. Your body might just need to get used to the new demands that you

are placing on it. Be strong. I know it's hard when you're hungry.

I've noticed this yes, Bonnie. Definately need to increase the calories on those days. Fortunately, it is usually protein that I am seeking out instead of carbs. ;-)

WTG Bonnie that's quite a distance for a beginner :) very proud of you! brgk44 <brgk44@...> wrote: Good morning, ladies! Yesterday I went out interval jogging again and it went well. I tried to jog for about 1 minute each time, then caught my breath for about 2 minutes and would do it again. I slept so well last night and now today, while my shins (spelling? the front of my lower legs) aredefinitely sore, I'm alright. I'm going to do WATP today, probably...gotta recover. Oh! I guess that the tat discount wouldn't equal a plane

ticket.......you have a good point. We will all be waiting for the

pics.

It is hump day...Wednesday. How is everyone doing so far?

Re: Happy Monday

So, that is what it is like to

spend a weekend home? I got a few projects done that have been hanging

around for awhile and I got to watch a whole NASCAR race. I even got to

watch my grandson's soccer game on Saturday.....what is that game all

about? I have a pretty easy week and then on the road again this weekend

and Vegas the weekend after that.

I have some wood to get in for the Winter and a chimney to clean before

the wood stove can be fired up for the season. That will get done this

week.

Let's keep those tat artists busy with some work for them. De, I can get

you a good price on a tat, but you would have to come here...LOL. And we

need to see pics of the rejuvenated one.

Where is Patty Pooh and what is she up to? Hi to Her Redness and everyone

else.

Party on Y'all
