How many words is 50 K?

Doesn't anyone else have a say in this? This sounds like a threat, I

hope it doesn't become a power struggle.

Not everyone has a cable modem or a mega-multi-gig hard drive, so

big stuff so it doesn't affect me. It should say on the attachment

how much it is and a person can choose whether or not to download it

themselves.

I do not believe she did this to be inconsiderate.

By the way, You forgot to say O.T.

LOL Now home made chicken soup I like, but that can stuff I just can't deal with . I could handle having my butt dragged anywhere, maybe it would get some of it OFF .

First off guys... I am trying to keep everyone happy. I agree with Sue in

NJ that there is a problem... I have been dealing with it for ages because

I thought I was the only one... now that I understand a little more, I do

not think it is much to ask for.

I do not know how much 50K is in terms of words. I think it is ridiculous

to think that any one should keep their posts to a certain amount of words.

I do think though that we can trim some of the replies. If we just keep

reply without trimming down a little, they do get long. I also think it is

wise to leave some of the previous post so that we can follow the thought.

In having all this trouble, I tried to do this by digest, or at the site...

neither worked for me like the emails...

Eleanora, I hope I didn't come off offended or grumpy (though I am with my

situation at home... so I might sound that way...) I am not offended or

grumpy with you all. You are what is pulling me through another tough time

at home... You all are my lifeline right now.... The last thing I want to

do is upset any of you. I am just trying to let you all know why I support

Sue in NJ....

Please... don't anyone be mad at anyone else (especially me... I can't stand

the thought of someone else hating me right now!)

Kim... I wish I understood computers better.... I think it

might be the combination of gif.s versus stationary....

thank you. I don't know how to make sure they are smaller either.

So for now I will just stick to this so as to not get in trouble or cause

anyone any long downloads.Kim

This makes me sad because this is not your personality!

You are just to sweet Thank you so much for the nice words. I will be staying, but I WILL try to be more careful not to send anything that is too big. I AM GOING TO MAKE IT TO MY WEIGHT GOAL ONE WAY OR ANOTHER

Kim, please don't get upset about this. It's not worth it.

Re: Re: STOP THE BIG DOWNLOADS Where's the O.T.?

Not everyone has a cable modem or a mega-multi-gig hard drive, <<<<<<<

I don't either! I have a plan old Dial Up Connection. I have 5 different groups set up in my e-mail box and they all send stationery with sounds and signatures and I have no problem downloading them. I am sorry. I was just trying to express myself. Maybe it would be better if I leave the group. I am just so excited to day to FINALLY see a drop in my weight that I can't help but express myself in the only way I know how. These plan letters are just so BORING to me. I like to spice them up.

I do not do this at all to be inconsiderate of others! I am trying to make people smile in the only way I know how. So if you would like me to leave just let me know and I will.

I think it depends on your email settings. I see some of the graphics, but

I don't see ANY of the stationery. I, personally, don't see a problem with

Kim's posts -- except that I can never read all of them because the big text

doesn't fit on my screen. I think the problem comes in more when there is a

string of replies and counter-replies that don't get trimmed so there are a

LOT of graphics.

This is the only list I belong to that is not plain text, but I always start

with plain text anyway and only switch to html when I want to add a

graphic....

Re: Re: STOP THE BIG DOWNLOADS Where's the O.T.?

We are not going to fight here are we?

I think many of us are ignorant to what our computers and others' computers

can do & can't do. I do not believe anyone is trying to make it difficult

for anyone else. I think when Sue in NJ first asked us to be more careful

with our attachments & trimming & stuff, everyone thought they were

innocent. I know I did but that is because I have no clue how to do half of

that stuff. Though I enjoy all the gif.s etc... there are a few that take

alot of time to load, & alot of space... I get things bounced when there

are too many of them in my mailbox. This is frustrating. As far as not

opening it or knowing how big it is, I do not know when I go to open it as

email. Many times it will be taking too long & I do not have the time to

wait so I delete the message without even getting to read it. Sometimes

nothing at all appears and the only way I can read it is to send a reply...

I think all the stuff is cute but the bottom line is what we have to say to

one another. If someone's message is not getting read or is pushing someone

else away because of the inconvenience it causes, I think we need to be made

aware of it. I do not believe anything said or done was meant to be

vicious... I think we just all need to be made aware of the problems.

You computer whizzes, is there a way to share the gif.s & stationary on

another page? Like our pictures? Like I said, alot of it is really cute,

and I do like seeing it but it is causing me a problem... (I think I have a

good computer... with lots of space) Again... I am not computer literate!
