Guest guest
Hi Elyse, Have you tried any kind of sinus rinse? I have had great success with a product made by Neil Med called " Sinus Rinse " . I know that Walgreen's and some other local drugstore's carry it and it is also available on line. My whole family uses it and loves it. Takes care, Dawn > Anyone know what I can use? Guest guest
Have you ever heard of a Neti Pot? Google it. You can put other things besides straight salt to make in saline like your body. I used to have a lot of sinusitis problems and now have none. I do it every morning. It may take a while to clear the problem. Guest guest
Do a web search on Ponaris. If you order it let me know. I just got one a couple of days ago. So far I find it soothing. Guest guest
I use the neti pot also. It my favorite delivery system for sinus rinse. Also the product Breath Ease is a very good cleansing rinse. The Xylitol is supposed to kill germs. Gail Edy Rayfield wrote: > Have you ever heard of a Neti Pot? Google it. You can put other things besides straight salt to make in saline like your body. Guest guest
Elyse, I have the same problem. What works best is using a Neti pot. It's kinda disgusting at first but I've gotten quite used to it. You can get the pot in a health food store. The solution I use is important because it kills funguses that lurk up there and everywhere: To 2 cups of warm water, add 1 T good sea salt (not Morton's) and 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide (to start -- I'm up to 2T now). I 'Neti' in the shower and have a grand time hawking and honking the stuff out. You can also put the solution in a dropper bottle and tilt your head back and put 5 or more drops into the nose, aiming for the sinus cavities. Roll head side to side and then blow it out. In fact, do this and the Neti and I think you'll notice a huge difference. There's also a product called Ayre which is a gel that you put in your nostrils. Really opens them up and it's not bad for you the way allergy sprays can be. - Barbara > > Anyone know what I can use? I can't breathe through my nose at > all. Guest guest
Hi Barbara, I , too, told her about the Neti Pot, but I love the hawking and honking part in your post. It's so true! However I do it in the kitchen sink. At first things were pretty colorful, but now clear as glass, but still it comes as yu know. Happy snorting, Edy taqxim <barbaracat99@...> wrote: Elyse, I have the same problem. What works best is using a Neti pot. It's kinda disgusting at first but I've gotten quite used to it. Guest guest
Hi, I forgot to mention that I've been using a neti pot everyday but it's just not enough. It does help, and it gives me some relief for a short time, but now things have gotten worse. Barbara, I haven't tried that much peroxide in it because I didn't know it was safe to do so, but since you've been doing it, I'll try it. Thanks, Elyse On 22-May-06, at 2:38 PM, taqxim wrote: > Elyse, > I have the same problem. What works best is using a Neti pot. It's > kinda disgusting at first but I've gotten quite used to it. Guest guest
I have learned that you really shouldn't use tap water. Use distilled or boiled water. I have chronic psuedimonas infection and have two docs tell me that it is found in tap water. Use distilled or boil tap water for a full 10 minutes. Guest guest
Has anyone heard of or tried a nasal dilator which looks kind of like a cilp, it goes inside the nose and it expands out a liitle givin a similar effect as the breathe right strips except that it's inside the nose instead of on top. Some athletes use it during work outs, supposed to help with snoring and allergies. I wonder if they're useful or not, they seem like they might be uncomfortable.
