Guest guest
I have read different figures about the prevalance of CFS. Some say its quite low, other say it is high. One frequently quoted study by et al. says it is 422 per 100,000, but another study which I think Bell contributed to suggests 0.75 percent of the population. If this is true the numbers a very high. Someone said to me that ME/CFS is a pretty rare disease, but it doesnt seem to be that. Also I wonder about CFS in non-Western countries. What about Africa, China and poor countries? Are the rates higher in countries with polution and vaccines? I read on the net that some think certain people who think they have AIDS in Africa really have CFS. They have damaged immune systems, but not really AIDS. I am not sure if I believe this, I certainly dont like it when people deny the existence of HIV and all that. If anyone have any inputs, it might be interesting. s
