I would get into the doctor ASAP. Never had this bad a reaction to antibiotics. Nothing worse than passing heartburn... tansy >
Guest guest
Kiristina, I had a friend warn me to make sure Doxy didn't get caught in my esophagus. She had a cautionary tale of her 20-something stepdaughter who 1) went out skiing without enough sunscreen and 2) swallowed her Doxy tablet right before bed and didn't follow it with sitting up for a while, and drinking or eating to assure the pill continued on its merry way. The girl ended up at the hospital, with burned esophagus similar to yours and nasty sunburn too. My friend indicated she recovered nicely, but she sure had a miserable few days. Don't know what if anything the hospital staff suggested, to ease pain and speed healing. Crandall
Guest guest
My abx warns very strongly on the bottle/pack to take with lots of fluid and never before lying down. Now we know why! I hope you recover 100%, but I would go to a doctor as I believe some of the effects of what you have done can be severe. n At 09:47 23/05/01, you wrote: >I ahve been on antibiotics, Doxycycline, now for 8 months. Does your doctor know that you have stopped taking that medication? I drink aloe vera juice when I have that much irritation.
