Anterior vs posterior partial fundoplication

Hi,

I briefly spoke with my surgeons assistant yesterday and she told me that he had

reviewed my records and proposes a laproscopic partial fundoplication.

I have a small hiatal hernia just below the spasm. After looking up partial

fundoplication I now realize that there is an anterior and a posterior. If I

had known this yesterday I would have asked her.

What is the difference in the two?
