Guest guest
Sweet dreams Tonia. Its so good to hear that you are all back home again. Two thoughts. Regarding the nifedipine. What dosage does he take? How soon after the spasms started did he take the nifedipine? What limit, if any, have you been told as to how many Nifedipines he can take? As an adult I take one 10mg capsule ASAP after the pains start. If I have nothing else to help rid the pain, I will take up to 3 capsules. Some people do well with nifedipine, while others report getting dizzy and sometimes pass out. Soda, as my drink of choice gets mixed reviews from members of the Board. To me its a life saver. I can drink literally gallons of water and food will remain stuck, and then some carbonation and the food immediately clears! Speak to Dr. Rice first, of course, about it. Since everyone reacts differently to different drinks, I would just simply experiment in small quantities at first, then go with what works. In a message dated 11/6/2006 10:09:24 P.M. Guest guest
Whoo! I bet it feels soooo good to get back in your own bed I bet you all sleep till lunchtime today. Give my love, Now you can look forward to Thanks Giving and Christmas now. Do you think that the pizza could have caused the spasm? Might be worth keeping a food diary on everything that eats every day to see if you can see a link in what sets the spasms off. Guest guest
Tonia, Hey there!!!! Glad to hear you are home and you had a safe trip back. I was thinking about you guys all day Monday. That’s so great that the test went well and that Dr. Rice was pleased with the results of surgery. AND, I’m sure most of all, is happy it went well this time around! I’ll have to make sure I add “ask Dr. Rice for pizza” to my list of tips from . LOL But really, enjoy being home again and remind to take it slow. Although Dr. Rice allowed the pizza, it is important for him to stick to the rules and ease into a regular diet, no matter how great things feel now. Tell my husband and I both say hi…..we are thinking of you guys often and wish you well!
