Guest guest
Sorry guys, for all the questions, but up until now I haven't found anyone who can give me any answers! I was wondering...has the drs ever told you that you have a slow, sluggish esophagus? That the esophagus is like a tube, and the muscles aren't working right? Is this what achalasia is, in general? Or are there different kinds? I have been told my esophagus is sluggish. I was worried that I may have a different type of A that surgery won't fix. Is that even possible? As I understand the surgery, the muscle seperating the stomach and esophagus is cut. Is this exactly what happens, and if so, do you know if a person with a sluggish esophagus can still have the surgery work for them? Also, do any of you guys ever get really sick to your stomach because of lack of eating? And, how much weight can I be expected to lose? Thanks! You guys are great!
