Question on SSI, SSDI & Annual Representative Payee Report

This is for those who are knowledgeable about getting SSI AND SSDI.

This is the first year my son has received both. I just received the annual rep

payee report, where I tell them how much was spent on food, shelter, medical,

etc.

On the report, the total amount for the past 12 months they give is not the

total he received for 12 months of SSI--it's the amount he received for SSI &

SSDI for the past 12 months.

I'm confused. I know SSI has only a few categories that the money can be spent

on, and I thought that the form's purpose was to account for that. So why are

they including what he received in SSDI in the total?
