Re: Chelation results?

...we have done two 7 day on/7 day off rounds of round the clock, every

4 hour DMSA chelation. My son is going to be 5 next month, and is highly

lead and antimony toxic, with mercury probably on board too. He has been

diagnosed as PDD-NOS/Asperger's. That said, during and after the two rounds

of chelation we noticed the following:

During chelation...on both cycles, around the fifth day, lots more

oppositional behavior, obsessive-compulsive behavior, bi-polar type behavior,

only at night though, when he's tired (we've had massive melt-downs over

vegetables!)

During " off " weeks....ENORMOUS leaps in cooperation, language, social skills,

behavior. I went to the DAN conference this weekend, and when he saw that I

was back this morning, his face just lit up like I've never seen and he said

" Mommy, I really, really missed you while you were away " ! BIG sentence for

him and SUPER, and APPROPRIATE facial expression. His language also sounds

much more colloquial, versus the rather stilted " professorial " tone he's used

up till now. Another great tidbit is that before we started chelation, he

always ate his lunch alone at preschool...now he's sitting and eating with

everybody else. YESSSSSS!!!!!

These are just our (very positive!) experiences so far. I'm sure every

child's reaction will be as individual as they are. Hope this info is

helpful to you. Good luck.....

Thanks . My son is doing 3 days of DMSA every 8 hours than 11 days off.

We sent in the urine sample at the end of the 3 days and are waiting for the

results. I noticed more hand and verbal stimming while he was on it. We did

have a hurricane threat and sometimes he will act up from the drop in

pressure so I am not sure if it was from the Chelation or not. I should have

the results back before the 11 days are up to know whether to continue or

not.

Yes the yuck felt seems a small price for we have seen awesome results with

chelation. I too do not see how ALA is better than C or other antioxidants.

DMSA(Chemet) works as does DMPS. WE do not multidose any more, once in the

morning 3 days in a row for DMPS and one shot every 3 weeks of DMPS. The

shot is done with the DMPS. Get in in and out! We supplement minerals

between cycles and use melatonin every nite(is a potent brain antioxidant and

protects against oxidative stress from heavy metals). Beverly

YES you are getting the results I have seen many times. WONDERFUL

AREN'T they. We have poisoned to many people. Your child has very

low levels of toxic metals compared to me, and I would expect very

good results for your child. One thing that ANDY came up with that I

totally agree with from personal experience is that the toxic metals

leave the body by way of the nerveous system, and NOT by the blood

system, this may be why your son has trouble with chelation, it is

worth it though. I went though it so I know Andy was right. I have

experimented on myself with many different protocols, and feel that I

have hit upon the best way. The worst thing that I hate to admit is

that start slow then ramp UP is right. I still have no reason to

believe that LA is of any more benifit than vit. C, but I do KNOW

that Chemet works. I will be signing off completely in a little

while, within a week or two. I AM GOING BACK TO WORK. ---

-While doing chelation I would get terrible mercury tremors of the

hands, they would shake uncontrollably. The only explaination I can

give for this is metals moving along the nervous system going for an

exit, or that the toxics have been freed and are causing the tremor.
