I buy most of my supplements from www.iherb.com. Their site is easy to use and I like how they post the ingredients of each supplement they sell and also post customer reviews. They offer free shipping for orders over $20, which is very doable. There are, of course, many other reputable companies online. But that is the main one I use. Kind regards, Kathleen

I am BRAND new to the group. I have thyroid cancer and canceled my thyroidectomy. I am trying to use supplementation INSTEAD OF THYROIDECTOMY to treat the cancer. But I know that brands are important (bioavailability, absorbability) So which brand(s) do I use, and where can I buy them online? (I don't have a car) Someone recently answered this question about Selenium only but what about the rest of the following: Vitamins B2, B3, A, C, D, L-Tyrosine, Magnesium, Zinc, Iron, ATP co-factors

When I was fighting thyroid cancer I took the following things:

Thorne Research Buffered C Powder or VRP BalanCe (both contain Mg, Ca, K & Vit C) - 2-4 scoups per day

Biotics Research SeZyme - 1 - 2x / day

Optimox Iodoral - 125 mgs (50mg tablets - 2 1/2 tabs)

Optimox ATP CoFactors - 1 - 2x / da

Pure Zen Health DMG Complete

All of these items are available from Dr. Brownstein's office at www.centerforholisticmedicine.com

I had had a thyroidectomy and 3 failed RAI's by the time I started this protocol but I am convince that it is the same no matter what. As for Zinc & Iron you need to test to see if you need them before supplementing.

If you live in UK or Europe, you can try Natures Best or Just Good Health. Most of their products are free of gluten, yeast, dairy and other things that can be a bother. Not too expensive either and fast delivery.

You might do some reading about LDN, it has helped me immensely as well as many others with cancer and auto immune diseases, david lubbock tx

Calcium D Glucorate

DIM

Oh and I also did the liver detox product Metagenics Ultra Clear Plus but then the last 2 years have been doing the TLC product from Pure Zen Health.

I think iHerb ships to the UK. I get just about everything including Iodoral

from them. Good prices and fast shipping.

And for the person looking for copper supplements, they have one at iHerb.

As for copper and zinc, good to have copper levels tested as they can be high. I

had mine tested via a heavy metals hair test. And as for those heavy metals, I

am noticing some major changes in energy since beginning a chelation treatment 3

months ago.

I would be interested in hearing any info about heavy metals, chelation and how

it may affect iodine levels. I upped my Iodoral to 50 mgs. Think that will be

sufficient? I am only doing chelation 2 days a week(one with EDTA

suppository,next day oral DMSA) then takingThorne Heavy Metal support the rest

of the week.

Celine,I suspect that your real question might be: "What causes hypercalcemia (high blood calcium)?" If so, then according to Wikipedia, there are many possible causes:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypercalcaemia#Causes

This same Wikipedia article also discusses treatments for hypercalcemia in case you are interested.

OTOH, if what you really wanted to know is whether there are any side-effects of calcium d glucarate, then the following website reports no known side-effects for calcium d glucarate:http://www.thehealthierlife.co.uk/natural-health-articles/cancer/calcium-d-glucarate-supplement-reduce-risk-cancer-00081.html (Scroll down to the very last paragraph below the sub-heading "What to take for best results.")

"Contra-indications: No side-effects have been reported following the use of calcium D-glucarate.
