Guest guest
How much DHEA are you taking. It is usually recommended to take 25mgs, but quite often, the effects will not be noticed for up to 3 months, so please be patient. I would be tempted to start a course of Nutri Adrenal Extra to give my adrenals the specific vitamins and minerals they need to become properly boosted. You need a good Vitamin b complex as well as the NAE and high dose Vitamin C, e.g. 3/4000mgs daily with food. Any iron should be taken at least four hours away from any thyroid hormone replacement. Go to our home page thyroid treatment and click on FILES in the Menu. On the page that opens, scroll down to 'Discounts on Tests and Supplements' FOLDER and on that page, click on 'Nutri Ltd., and order from there. TPA members get 33% discount. But, you must order as advised and quote the TPA reference number. Start by taking one NAE with breakfast and stay on that for 10 to 14 days and then increase by taking another tablet with your lunch. Stay on that for another 10 to 14 days, and if needs be, add another tablet with breakfast. Always take with food and never after 1.00p.m. Some people do fine with a couple of tablets, others need more. However, if you find you are taking 6 tablets daily and still have symptoms of low adrenal reserve, you may need to arrange for a short synacthen test with your GP to see whether you might be borderline 's disease. Good luck. Luv - Sheila Yes, I do have low adrenal reserve. I did the saliva test about 10 days ago and it showed cortisol levels: 1. 21.6 (12-22) 2. 5.6 (5-9) 3. 4.1 (3-7) 4. 1.8 (1-3) But DHEA was am - 0.07 low ) pm - 0.09 low ) I`ve started a DHEA supplement for this. I had expected my adrenals to be in a sorry state because it seems there has been one crisis after another during my life. Plus I am addicted to sugar and nicotine (been on lozenges for last 4 yrs). In the morning I need 2 cups of sweet tea and a few nicotine lozenges to get brain and body into earthly gear, but it doesn`t last long then I slump. So the last 3 saliva samples would have been influenced by sugar and nicotine. I _,___
