Hi. How long have you been on Gleevec? I've had two experiences with bone

pain. When I first started taking Gleevec which was supposedly because of the

Gleevec killing off lots of bad cells all at once. Then again when I was on 800

mg Gleevec when it was a side effect of Gleevec itself. It would subside when I

took Gleevec vacations. It finally went away when I lost my response to Gleevec

and started on Sprycel. I had it in my right hip and lower back.

Sorry you're going through this. Nothing worked to take away my pain including

ocycontin. The only thing that worked in one severe attack was intravenous

Ativan.

[ ] Bone Pain

Good Morning Guys

Just wanted to ask about bone pain.

I had bone pain very early in the piece when first diagnosed.

You all know the feeling, isolated that you can feel exactly where

the pain is and then Comes and goes etc. Then disappears as gleevic

works.

However, this feeling has started up again.

I haven't had any for such a very long time. Nearly a year.

Then all of sudden I have had a week of isolated bone pain again.

Right foot, left shin and left hip (not at the same time thank god.)

Now gone.

Possibly glivec doing its wonderful work.

Has anyone experienced this type of bone pain again after a long time

without the side effect? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

600mg glivec

Over a year on 600mg

Bone pain disappeared but yes I also could not get rid of the pain - went by

itself

Barb - you are correct - mine was also on my left side excluding my right foot
