Guest guest
My Daughter who is also Hypothyroid, and in my opinion my daughters should have been tested when I was diagnosed, but boils down again to a GP not doing his job. My Daughter was not diagnosed until she suffered from several miscarriages. She has 3 children, and the last one suffered brain damage due to her Mothers Hypothyroidism, and she herself nearly died and had to have a blood transfusion. Nine years later although her chap (not married) has been a good Father, but does have a bad temper, and has gone back to drinking, he has been having an affair with another woman also divorced with two children. My Daughter was prepared to forgive him and they had also been to relate, and she finds out the affair is still going on. He has in fact been cohabiting with two woman, which is also a risk to both woman as far as infection goes. My Daughter has sent him packing He is now being awkward on the split on their home and wants her to sign forms as regards the children, and she has refused, saying that it will have to go through a court. My Daughter does not wish to prevent him from seeing the children, but also depends on if they are in agreement on seeing him. Unfortunatley sometimes this does not work out, and children themselves become difficult with one parent allowing them to do something which the other does not allow. Sometimes so bad that it is better to only have one parent to raise them. Is there a woman on these forums that has been in the same position, and would having Hypothyroidism go against them on custody of children, and how would the law see this. My Daughter is signed off sick and on antidepressants at the moment, so does not qualify for legal aid Kathleen
