Guest guest
I am wondering why HDMP + R isn't used more as a first treatment. It seems like it's much more gentle on the marrow. Revlimid also looks tempting as a first choice. With all of the new drugs in the pipeline, I'm thinking that the goal of a first treatment isn't necessarily MRD neg. Maybe it's best to choose the least toxic option and hold on until the newer drugs make it to market. I'm 46 and not eligible for the CAL 101 +R trial because of my age. These are a lay person's thoughts and I'm looking for input. Thanks to this group I have learned so much. I never go to a doctor's appointment without my three ring binder and have assembled a great team. However, there are so many trade-offs that I want to make my own informed decision.
