Guest guest
I'm 10 days post-op from my stimulator surgery. I have some observations and questions. #1-The flank area between the two incisions was VERY bruised and now is VERY tight and still swollen. Will it always feel tight over where the tubing is for the wires going from the back to the front? What sort of " conduit " contains these wires? Is it like rubber tubing, or what? #2-I have a LOT of pain across the middle of my back where the rib cage is and a little below. The odd thing is, it is also on the side not used for the surgery. Is this because I'm overcompensating? I have connective tissue disease, so I tend to get inflammation easily. Is there anything that can be done for this pain, other than Percocet (which I will run out of in another 2 days), ice, and warm showers? Is this pain something I should alert the doctors to? #3-I have shooting pains in my back incision. How long does it take for this to go away? I'll have more later-this is enough for now. Thanks for your help, Kathy W. in KY
