Hi,

from a place with lots of these pesky mosquitos, insect repellant with citronella works really well. the citronella plant also drives away mosquitos so you might consider planting them around your garden.

Re: Mosquito bites ?

Hi, just some tips from Trish the Mom of Andy almost 35 (this Sunday and we never hear the end of it!) with MDS. Something else you might consider for your whole family is vitamin B6. When I have used it, I don't get bit because the mosquitoes don't like it. Some also use Avon's Skin So Soft, the regular scent oil to keep the mosquitos at bay. They don't like the smell of onions either so it is said to eat onions before going out and the pests will leave you alone. I do use Benadryl if I do get bit to rub on those itchy spots. It works very well but so does meat tenderizer for those and bee or wasp stings. So, that's what I know :) God Bless!Caroline Skalsky <cskalskycharter (DOT) net> wrote:

I am hoping someone is able to help me. Isabella, n ow 4, gets eaten so badly by mosquitoes, it is really unbelievable. She goes outside in the evenings for even 5 minutes and comes in with 40-50 stings espcecailly on her face and her head. Her face looks like she has the chicken pocks (lots and lots of red spots), she does not scratch them, only rubs them. We are suppose to go camping tomorrow and I do not know how to keep her comfortable. Using regualr old spray is not working, not that I like to use it, but I can't let her get so many bites. And no, we are not giving her any bananas right no as we know that attracts them. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks so much,

Caroline

Okay Tina, enlighten me here please....do you rub vanilla extract on your skin? Thanks for the reminder about the homemade soap, I have some and I did give her a bath tonight and she felt much better!

Thanks so much,

Caroline
