Guest guest
I agree with you on the waste of money. For $10,000 a month we could make sure that about 50,000 people a month see our story at www.sAngelNetwork.com maybe changing a lot of minds on termination…and getting to a lot of pregnant moms searching for information on babies, pregnancy, etc… For about $4 a day I get about 40 people a day clicking on our site from all over the country…and it seems to be the easiest way to get in contact with people who are newly looking for information. The big orgs SUCK at making support groups and even parent information available which should be the whole dang point. For another $10,000 a month we could easily run a full scale hotline with volunteers monitoring phone lines in every state, converting educational and medical materials into other languages…setting every organization in the country and in other countries up with their own 800 or international number that can roll to 7 volunteers everytime someone calls it…chat, etc…etc… I think the NDSS President makes about $150,000 a year. That would cover half of it. There is no reason why in the age of computer technology any parent with access to a computer should have to feel alone or not be able to connect with another live person instantly 24 hours a day. Anyway, I’m trying to raise this money myself off slurping off a percentage of real estate commissions nationwide. Here’s the draft that NO one else has has seen… It’s designed to get people to “register” so I can follow-up with them again and again until they buy a home or are convinced that DS kids..sorry, kids with DS are the greatest people in the world. Hah hah www.purposedrivenrealestate.com/pdrelandingpage.html Once I get ‘em to register, it’ll be a pretty standard real estate site like the other one I’ve built at www.HomesNearPhiladelphia.com You may see a quote from you or someone you know on there. I’ve camouflaged most names, but let me know if it bothers you. For every one person that buys or sells a home with a realtor I recommend them to….we raise an average of $800 for the cause. So basically I need to talk/convince 1 person per day to do this and that’s $24,000 a month – too bad I’m not keeping it J!!! Which will fund the entire operation. 2 people per day and we can start hiring stay-at-home Moms who need some extra cash to promote the site, man the phone lines, etc…Maybe buy the best health insurance plan that doesn’t have prescreening and just give that to them as compensation to help out. 3 people per day and we can have a big fund that will pay extra expenses for anyone who calls…related to adoption, books, car repair….etc.. A mom I talked to the other day said her son has seizures brought on by immunizations and her insurance only covers 80%. So she has to spend $300 per week on medicine to control them. I would have written her a check each week for 3 months until we figure out how to get new coverage. We just need a fund like this to help people out. No fuss no muss no grant applications. I’ll eat it on the income tax side but oh, well, until I can take the time to set up a nonprofit and have it run everything. Sam
