Guest guest
I have been " lurking " for awhile but just wanted to say how much it means to me to be able to read your stories. I had a fusion to correct an S curve, with Harrington rod placed when I was 15. Four months later ,I was in a bad car accident that resulted in the rod being knocked loose and removed at age 17. I was told before my initial surgery that if I didn't have it then I would not be able to walk later in life. I don't know if that is entirely true but it has not been a cakewalk either. I have had regular pain and back spasms since my early 20's. I cannot stand on hard surfaces for more than an hour or wear heels. I feel like this group is the only place I can express my frustration and vent without eye rolls or " suck it ups " . I have learned not to say a lot and live with it but what a blessing to have this group. I read what other people say and think " yes, that's what I have too " and don't feel to isolated. Keep it up! in Georgia
