Guest guest
I received my MRI results and go to the Orthopedic Neuro surgeon that I saw a couple of years ago... My MRI showed all of my lower back problems - basically I have a couple of Broad based disc bulges resulting in mild and bilateral narrowing of the Neural foraminal canal - (I think I got that right) - lots of discs that have lost height and are dehydrated as well. The only problem is although I have pain in my lower back - it is not my current problem. Right now I am in sometimes unbearable pain at points in my spine where my Harrington Rod is at - shooting down my left arm. Due to all of the metallic artifact (I only have one rod in my thoracic region) they could not get very good look at my spine where the rod is. I know from research that MRI's are almost impossible with the rod. SO, my question is - if I am having incredible pain - how can they tell what is wrong if they cannot see??? They noted some bone spurs and mild degenerative changes at end plates and some degenerative changes that are of Modic 2 type changes... ANy insight would be appreciated... Thanks!
