Zyflo (short acting) vs. Zyflo CR

Hi,

I was taking Zyflo (s.a.) for over 7 years, 600mg 4 times a day. My

asthma was well under control. But not since I switched to Zyflo CR.

I suppose to take 2 600mg every 12 hours, but after 6 hours I have to

take it again. Zyflo (short acting) was work much better for me than

Zyflo CR. I'm wondering if anyone else had same experience?

I have had the same problem with zyflo cr,

only on some days. It seems to not last as long as it should. I sometimes take

one then a few hours later take another so it is staggered. It kind of misses

the point for taking the cr twice a day versus the regular 4 times a day but I

have learned to just do what works for me. Sometimes it is not worth trying to

get the Dr. to believe or understand the situation!

I've been doing just like you do. My doctor suggested to brake the

pills before swallow them. So I chewed a couple of time before

drinking water, taste wasn't too bad but to wash them down was a bit

difficult.
