Thanks Marcy - and for those of you with silver fillings (which are mercury

but it sounds so much nicer to call them silver!) inhale mercury everytime

you chew, etc. Is it no wonder we are in deep doo doo.

You didn't know that??? They don't talk about that in Ireland???

Had mine all out in early 90's!

If you are thinking about getting them replaced you need to find someone

highly qualified because taking them out can release mercury.

small town, so I guess my thinking and knowlege on the outside world up

until now was small itself. What do they replace it with.. I'll go look at

You can replace it with MANY things. I have bell glass in my teeth.

Some people have composites which are white. White fillings can have

nickel and other things.... Best to get informed.

Most of my fillings are the white ones but I've a few old ones that are the

silver ones .. I've a quesiton though how are we breathing mercury, isn't

the filling dried up? Excuse my ignorance ...

No, everytime you chew or grind your teeth vapors are released into your

mouth. And even when you aren't chewing some is there. See that link on

Every time you chew your teeth rub together which emits vapors AND

electrical reading from the teeth with 'silver' or any metal. Best

thing to do is to get a blood test to find out what fillings are safe
