Guest guest
Sorry this is a long one! Awaiting Endo apptnext week TSH is 2.7 (this has crept up from 1.3 two yrs ago) and the range is (0.3-4) My ANTI TPO is 18.0 iu/mL (0.0 - 30.00) but could not get other ones tested. Have a load of symptoms which probably go back at least 7 yrs, not least rapid weight gain 2 yrs ago by 2 stone in 7 months. Low level depression/anxiety/increasing mood swings/tiredness and sensation of life slowing down like walking through treacle/cold hand and feet/feet cramps/thinner hair/high cholesterol/aches in muscles and joints/headaches/recurrent sore throats and sometimes croaky voice/bloating and my eye lids seem to be more puffy and droopy infact whole face seems to have drooped and corners of mouth/despite healthy diet and exercise can't seem to shift weight. etc etc. I had a hysterectomy 4 yrs ago because of fibroids and heavy periods (still have ovaries) and I think I had symptoms before that as I remember going to GP feeling tired and low and blood tests only showed high cholesterol (8.4 currently 7.6) nothing else. My GP tested 2 yrs ago and because I was in range decided I probably had menapausal symtoms because I was 45 etc. He gave me HRT which made me blow up like a balloon and feel awful so I stopped that and didn't pursue anything until a few weeks ago as my symptoms seem worse than ever. I am now taking my temperature every morning and night and the highest I got was 36.7c (98.06) after an hours walk on a warm day - but after an afternoon nap that day I was 35.4 (95.72f) and generally around 35.9c - 36.2c (96.62f - 97.16f) - which I am reading is quite a low body temp and another marker for underactive thyroid?? Phew sorry about all the info - but please can someone respond and give me some feedback. I just want to feel more energy again and get my life back. Thanks
