Guest guest Posted September 14, 2010 Report Share Posted September 14, 2010 Since seeing a private doctor in May I've been on a gradually increasing dose of levothyroxine (now 150mcg). I'm dismayed that one of the symptoms I originally sought help for (alopecia) has now worsened. My mother was hypothyroid and had the same problem which resolved on treatment. Should I be thinking that treatment has not got to the point of correcting the imbalance or that levothyroxine is making it worse ? Utterly miserable, advice appreciated !
