Guest guest
Your Mum is only likely to get her adrenals assessed within the NHS if they believe she could be suffering with either Cushing's Syndrome (too high a level of cortisol secretion) or 's disease (too low or no cortisol secretion). They will not check for low adrenal reserve 9olr adrenal fatigue). The test for that is the 24 hour salivary adrenal profile by Genova Diagnostics to check out her cortisol and DHEA levels at four specific times during the day. Details in the FILES section in the FOLDER 'Discounts'. The GP would first have to assess your Mum to decide whether she might be suffering any of the symptoms of 's or Cushing's and then refer her to the hospital for a short synacthen test. Luv - Sheila Hi Everyone, My Mum is wanting to get her adrenals assessed and wondered if anyone could tell me the tests you can get done on the NHS and what they are for and does your GP do them? Thanks Lv
